What's the polycount on that? and good luck on the collision mesh for that.

296 vertexs, 120 faces total. It looks high poly because I smoothed the faces.

Haha, Blender has a modifier called "Screw" and it does exactly what it says, it makes a screw out of things. More info HERE

Of course... that was my first attempt at making a loop, here's my second attempt:



The next tricky part is to figure out the collision and test it in-game. This is the size of a whole 64x cube by the way. The track width is 32x.

We must be talking about separate things. If you right click and hold while still moving in a direction, the orb itself jumps around, and it spazzes out. I was talking about that.

Yeah, I notice that sometime. It's not that big deal to me.

It's mostly done, but the control for switching between first / third person is really buggy.
Should be complete tomorrow.

That's fine, it doesn't have to be perfect- I will strictly use the tool to preview my admin orb when modding.

I believe the biggest issue regarding this request would be the 64x brick limit. A lot of bricks would be cool to have but would require segmentation. It doesn't make much sense to have a curve like in your first image stuck inside a 64x - that's tiny. Or loops, or tilted curves, anything really.
Which sucks, really, but there's no way around it, unless this could be enough justification for Badspot should lift that restriction, which I doubt anyway.

The loop will require segmentation not only for brick size limit but also for the complex of .dts collision shapes. I can give it a shot and see how it goes.

Following up on this previous thread: https://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=265411.0 (Couldn't post on it due to being too old)

Has anyone achieved this feature yet? I would like to find a easier way to view the admin orb when I mod it instead of having to relay on other unwilling people or running double Blockland clients.

I've tried a few of camera control addons and they don't work with the admin orb.

it's because the bricks are designed to not support bricks above them
when flipped it can be changed to not support bricks below them instead

Yup, you have to assign certain grid placements on the bricks, to do that which is easily doable.

OP: I think nobody made inverted crest bricks because they weren't in high demand so brickmakers saw no reason to make them.

I already use general's obj to blb; i just haven't figured out how to assign a texture type to a face, nor adjust the UV mapping on a side through blender (though i do know how to UV map). I haven't really sat down and tried to figure out the process yet, but if someone requests something that requires it, I will do it.

Zeb made a pretty nifty tool to help calculate the SIDE texture for UV mapping here.
