Help / A few questions

I modified some weapons to make their bullets travel slower for a top-down map I'm making. I was thinking of releasing the map/gamemode (whatever) to the public for kicks, but thats just the problem. I'm trying to make a copy of the modified weapons, but with slow bullets instead. I copy them, rename them, even change up the code to be a completely different weapon, but even though the weapon shows on the custom gamemode screen, it never appears on the list during game-play. You guys are smart right? How can I do that?
Also, Y no victim code for bots other than onbotinfected?

...Anyone else having issues with this on steam? Anyone? Steam has blocked nearly ALL of my client sided add-ons, including the interface for slayer. I can't even get event favorites to work, but that's fine. I now play Blockland just to use this game mode so if someone could help me get Slayer running I'd really appreciate it. It shows up on the minigame menu, but the interface you use in the minigame section once you join the server is gone. I even have the bricks for it, its just that all the interfaces have up and disappeared. I'd download Blockland onto my pc out of steam, but thats failed me. It installs, but never shows up in the folder I install it in or anywhere else for that matter. The shortcut is still there, but it cant open the cache file since it doesn't exist. Please, help....should I post this IN help?
I'll try installing the newest update, but if this is only a ME problem I doubt it will help.

Well, it almost happened. They'll follow you. Thats it. They won't attack zombies or enemy teams once you dictate their movement. Idk. I'm gonna fiddle just a bit more make sure I'm not doing something else stupid.

BIG NEWS! You can still event slayer bots from their spawn. I'm assuming people already knew this, but for me, this is the biggest. I can't even begin to explain how happy I am! I can officially make a bot follow me through a zombie campaign with the added luxurious variable of lives and (tehee the best part!) NO FRIENDLY FIRE! (save some weapons) Greek, you don't even really need path nodes anymore! Sure, they make things easier, (and I'd keep the rally points) but players can now just event them to follow you or go to a brick and do whatever once they reach that brick. You've broke the bot threshold my friend!....I hope that's a good thing.
To say the least, I feel like I've finally got my money's worth out of this game. (No offense. I just like bots.)

I feel the need to inform you of a small bug though. All nodes on the bots appearance save the shirt (since I chose that node to be a certain color) turn black when you event them. It also turns out that a bots playertype causes the bot to "disappear" at times. Tactical player is one of these playertypes. Anyway, I hope you keep working on this.

Ahe, (dude above me) you can do that NOW with the bot update.

Seriously, does anyone actually utilize bots to their full potential? I swear, for years, I've been that lone wolf that would rather make a bot TDM rather than join a player TDM.

Hey Greek! I found out how to get the bots working and all,(thanks for your help!) but I think one of my add-ons is jacking something up. When I shoot an enemy bot enough, (near dead I assume) they practically turn invisible with only the gun and some really weird looking sky box for a head. Is it an add-on(SMM-Blood? Tactical-Player?) doing this, or does everyone have this issue? It's no big deal or anything, but if there's a way to prevent it, I'd like to do so.

OH! And is there a way to make bots on my team follow me, or must i use the nodes and simply keep up with them?

Make your bots team friendly and use the followplayer output event. They'll veer away from you to kill zombies, but they'll come straight back once you get far enough or if they kill the threat facing them. Now, unfortunately, you're going to realize that friendly-bot fire is going to ruin everything. For that, i'm sorry. I have no solution for that. You'd think it be more wide-spread, but people don't use bots as much as they should I think. You could use slayer to disable friendly fire with bots, but you can't really uh..."event" them. They will still attack hole-zombies, but you can't get them to follow you. Idk. I'm just starting out with slayer. Maybe you can, but I don't know how. Anyway, that's how you can get a bot to help you kill zombies. Make sure to use the power-on, power-off event to give yourself some space, as they will often block your way. And yes, as that other guy said, they will attack hole-zombies automatically, as well as any team of regular hole-bots you "event" to oppose you.

I'm trying to make a top-down campaign with three other friendly bots while killing zombies, but friendly fire from my bots stops that in its tracks. I downloaded slayer after discovering that it was compatible with bots so that I could keep them from friendly-firing me, but when I create a slayer minigame, they don't even spawn. Remember, these are the Team Bot Holes that you can download specifically for slayer. I could enable the wrench during a minigame and spawn them during it, but they don't act in accord with the minigame, as if slayer just completely overlooks them. They act like regular hole bots and friendly fire doesn't change. The only thing I noticed is that an enemy bot will only attack me if I touch it. Can someone please tell me how to incorporate bots into slayer?
Uh...please? I thought this problem would be more abundant here, but I couldn't find a help topic on it.
Also, can someone explain the path nodes?

Hmm. These were bots right? Thanks. Anyway, i found out that slayer supports bots. Unfortunately, I don't know if I can actually incorporate my own personally made bots into the chaos. I think it only allows me to put in default bots automatically if the player teams have a difference. I'll check.

I don't know if it's impossible or not, but is there a way to disable friendly fire from a bot that I've pro-...uh,
"Event'ed" to be friendly? I've got everything set up for  a top down Zombies Ate my Neighbors style map, but just when it starts to get fun, a friendly bot, who I've "Event'ed"to follow me but at the same keep its distance through use of the power off, power on event, it kills me nearly every time with whatever weapon i chose to give whether it be an mp5 or one of the new dueling pack swords. If someone could uh..make an add-on that counter acts this or show me how to disable it via its actual texts, it would be very helpful to guys like me that just like to stick around with his bot buddies...yes. His backstabbing, friendly-firing, personal-space-ignorant, bot buddies.

Also, can I stop their velocity from being relative to their spawn point? That's very irritating and stops me from making alot of watch-and-be-amazed maps. I know of the relative velocity event, and even tried to merge it with the bots code. I got as far as making it appear on the events interface when targeting a bot, but it doesn't work. It won't even move. I'm thinking it's impossible though. For instance, i remember the push broom actually pushing things back, yet when I use it on a bot, it simply propels it into the air. Even with other add-on's that are supposed to push players back, it either gets propelled into the air or doesn't move at all. Can someone please tell me how to make these things have relative velocity!? I could use the relative velocity event with Amade's bots, but not with these hole-bots. Why? I'll keep looking through their code, but I'm putting this up just in case anyone feels like helping out or doing something to fend off boredom.

Please make your explanations simple, as I am NOT a programmer or a Java expert. Yeah, I took a class on Java, but the most complicated thing I made was a game of rock, paper, scissors. After that, I got nothing.
