Off Topic / Avoid energy absorbing (Long-jump techniques)

So I'm practicing long-jumps for school. I need to be able to jump my height. I can jump up to 2 meters without momentum but it's too rough on my knees. Does any forumer that practices martial arts or athletics know techniques to transfer it to something else? I was using forward-movement to get rid of it but I'm not sure if it's allowed.
