according to you, "owning child research shouldn't be enough to make someone a criminal"

that directly contradicts what you just said

also, just put yourself in a child's place, for forgets sake. just imagine if you found your own pictures of when you were 5 being raped, on the internet. there is a good reason this is illegal

They deserve to be chopped down with axes, just like trees.

go away

i was referring to when you said 'you're only disgusting if you possess real child research'
yeah, real child research is bad
drawn child research IS taboo, (and I have no idea why this guy decided to bring it up in public,) but there is nothing "illegal" or "harmful" about it

It does depict a terrible act, but no real person or living thing was harmed in the process of creating the picture (or so we assume) or is harmed during "consumption".

rape can happen regardless of your special interest (or lack thereof) and the only way to prevent it is to have self-control and know yourself.

again, real child research is not okay and is harmful to everyone involved

295
drawn child research implies the same disgusting thought therefore it is still disgusting
sure but nobody is being harmed, why does it have to affect you?

The only reason anybody would defend it is if they were into it themselves.

Considering your furry tendencies, it wouldn't be surprising if you had other degenerate qualities we need to be worried about.
greenpeace defends trees, none of them is a tree

i'm not into this

you may want to seek a mental health professional to talk about this

297
you're only disgusting if you possess real child research or have inappropriately touched children in real life
no one is being harmed with drawn "child research"

for clarification i am not into this

As in, why is making the game for kids important?

It's absolutely critical in game design that you know exactly who the game is for, and you design towards that target market. It helps you remain focused, makes the job of finding appropriate playtesters easier and also makes the job of marketing your game a much easier task to deal with.

If these guys think their target audience are BLFers, that's such a small niche, and they've pissed most of that audience off. The true audience for a game like this is small kids, particularly those who enjoy LEGO or other creative applications. Kids aren't going to be masters of code, but they will have big ideas on things they'd like to achieve.
no, I mean, why is it important what Zeblote thinks when he's not even part of the development team? (according to the list of developers in OP.) I understand the idea that you're passing, but I can't understand the particular reason of why you seem to be getting so worked up over his opinion when he bears minimal influence on the development path of the game.

Because, I'm coming to realise that Zeblote is somebody who doesn't understand anything about game design, and it's scaring me how hard he's trying to justify awful concepts. Zeblote a scripter/programmer. He's very good at implementation details, but it's clear that he has no idea about what people want out of a game or who will play "Blockland 2".

The truth of the matter is that nobody makes video game modding systems with the intention of them only being accessible to the most hardcode and knowledgeable. Especially for games designed for kids, it's absolutely critical that our SDKs and systems can be approached by any one. The secret truth is that every designer who wants a mod system has a desire for some kid who has NEVER done anything in games before to make something cool and feel good, and then from there go and learn how to be a professional

I've lost all respect I had for Zeblote, since it appears that he doesn't understand what his mod system would be for (they don't have clear goals set out for this project), nor does he care who will be able to use it.
why is this important
