~UPDATE #4~
Today is an.... upsetting day. My wasp crawled into the jamb of the window and refused to get out, even when I put sugar water on the screen. In order for this hostage situation to drag out longer, he needs to eat.
So I began banging on the metal sheet holding the screen in place until the wasp came out for food.

After eating a little bit, his thorax started pulsating a lot. I'm positive I pissed him off considering his antennas were out to the sides when he first came out (why wouldn't he bee, I just loving banged on the screen). He started to fly around my window like crazy, looking for a way to either get to me or escape. After this I have decided to not feed him tonight

I feel the need to hold him hostage for longer until he can learn to not go loving nuts.
After all, it is in a wasp's nature to be pissed 24/7. I am optimistic that I can train him, considering yesterday's results.

No pls keep it as a pet
As awesome as that sounds, I might wind up releasing it if it survives long enough.

~UPDATE #3~

Ok, let me tell you guys what just happened

He is still alive and I gave him sugar water. He drank about a tablespoon's worth of it out of the dropper I had (I refilled it twice at 1/2 tbsp). When I took the dropper away the second time after it was empty, he continued to drink the droplets off the screen, as expected.
But, I raised the dropper up to the screen and the wasp put his antennas up, looked at it, and moved towards it.

He now knows his food source

Am I the wasp whisperer?

I gave him some water and he drank it. I will continue to give him little food and water until I figure out what to do with him.

3 days ago I trapped a wasp in my porch window and it is still alive.

Yesterday it tried escaping, I could hear it buzzing from 5 feet away.

Last night and earlier today it has stayed in the corner of the window, barely moving, but still alive. It started walking around when I went outside to photograph it.

I'm not sure how long it will last. Should I give it food and water to prolong its death? Let it starve? Release it? It's a male, so it doesn't have a stinger.
