We're gonna invent new locations for the purpose of our own Spongebob-influenced universe, while still being faithful to the original. The society of Bikini Bottom is gonna be realized, fully, and we're not holding back. There are going to be so many bricks we'll likely need TWO servers, one to hold the overflow bricks. There are gonna be custom patty models, boating test vehicles. Props, emitters, prints, skyboxes, this is gonna be fully-featured. Nickelodeon is gonna sue Blockland into oblivion because of how IMPRESSIVE this build will be: it's gonna actively draw viewers AWAY from the real show. Nobody will watch the show anymore, it's just gonna be people lining up outside the server walls trying to get a glimpse of SQ SOC: BIKINI BOTTOM.

I hope so. I think there's a lot Blockland could use. I think it would be great to integrate the duplicator/fillcan as default, add in some of the features of Glass/RTB (mainly the detailed server settings), do some quality-of-life improvements like add in environmental presets... There's definitely a lot of stuff that could be done. I think it would be beneficial to grow the playerbase too. Someone coming off the Steam store to play Blockland 100% default might miss a lot of the things we take for granted.
I don't really anticipate a major content update again, unless the tide changes for Badspot or something. We've gotten intermittent small changes for years so who knows! Brickadia really looks promising though.

the shadows themselves look pretty bad, but the lighting/shaders/atmosphere/customizable environments are pretty nice. honestly i don't care about the jagged shadow edges, and i appreciate the features as they are now---i mean remember back to map days when you had to make a totally new map just to change the parameters? like snowing/time of day/etc.
there is something i miss about maps though. they were a super-efficient way to have a huge detailed space, people tend to say they were stufftily designed/whatever but even those HUGE full house maps with tons of detail ran ok for me on a crappy laptop. i think removing maps, ultimately, was a huge kick in the face to blockland. some features are trade-off, and some are better, but the accessibility of loading a map and launching a server can't be matched by modter

the hoverette is a classic, default-style add-on! seats 2, handling is based on the stunt plane code (so you know it's gonna fly well), recolorable... no fancy features but it flies well and looks cool!
