TIL skin colour is caused by one genemelanin is a skin pigment. it has slightly different colors but it's most prevelant in black people. they're only black because of the amount of melanin in their skin.
you share the gene for how much melanin you should have from your parents and ancestors. if he doesn't atleast look mexican or puerto rican he's not 50% black or anywhere near it.
