Help / Unjoinable Server
« on: May 20, 2011, 06:22:58 PM »
My server has been unjoinable this afternoon. However, it was earlier today; before I crashed. After the server crashed, I went to a friends server, then tried to host again. Unjoinable.
This is all I can really say about it. My ports are still forwarded and everything, and I have not downloaded any new addons. I realize I'm not providing much evidence here, but to be honest, there's not much to give. Please help me, I was getting so many players earlier :C

Lost connection during Wii system update

Likely causes: Your Internet connection has slowed or was interrupted, or our servers could be busy.

Verify the following:

    * Slow or incompatible Internet connections can "time out" and result in this error code. Are you using a broadband Internet connection such as DSL, cable, or fiber optic? Other, slower types of connections, may not be compatible. Click here for more info about compatible connection types.

Try the following:

    *

Check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Wii console. To help minimize wireless interference, try the following:
o Make sure other wireless devices such as cordless phones or wireless speakers are turned off, and that the Wii console is an open area without objects or electronics blocking the signal. (For instance, if the Wii is placed in a crowded entertainment center, try moving the Wii somewhere with more room.) tried, failed
o Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area. tried, again failed

    * Manually change your Wii console's DNS settings. To do this, follow these steps:
         1. Access the Wii system settings (how to), and use the right arrow twice and select "Internet."
         2. Select "Connection Settings," and choose the connection file (1, 2, or 3) that are you are currently using.
         3. Select "Change settings" and click the right arrow 3 times to reach "Auto-Obtain DNS."
         4. Select "No," and choose "Advanced Settings."
         5. Click into the "Primary DNS" field and enter: 008.008.008.008
         6. Click into the "Secondary DNS" field and enter: 008.008.004.004 tried, yet again failed

Please note: These are public DNS's provided by Google and are subject to Google's Terms of Service. If you prefer to not use this service, doing an Internet search for "public DNS" will provide you with several other options you can use.
         7. Select "Confirm," and then "Save."
         8. Select "OK" to start the connection test. Once the test finishes, try to download the update again.
    * Our servers may be busy, especially if a new update for the Wii system is available. Wait at least a couple of hours and try to download the update again. been waiting for at least a month now, failing If after waiting several hours you are still receiving this error code, please call 1-800-255-3700.

If you are still getting this error code after trying the steps above, please call 1-800-255-3700 for further assistance.

This has been going on for a while now, and I am using wireless connection, but I may be able to find the wire for wired connection if that is the problem.

Is anyone else having trouble with this? I have a points card on standby here, and the shop won't let me buy anything until I download ze update.

I dunno if this counts as a spam thread or not, but...

Be the last poster. If you are the last one who posted in the thread before it got too old, you win...

Help / Cannot turn using mouse?
« on: January 03, 2011, 12:44:27 PM »
This is a question from a friend who does not have a forums account.

So, apparently he can not look around using his mouse. He cannot look up, down, left, or right. He can click properly, scroll properly, and his keyboard works fine. Right now, he has his controls to turn on the keyboard, but that doesn't really work well..
He has restarted blockland. His mouse also works properly for everything else.

Suggestions & Requests / Revive the SimpleWell Hatmod!
« on: August 17, 2010, 08:24:41 PM »
So, recently, I have tried downloading Pandan's Hatmod, but it linked to his website which was taken down a little while back.

Anyone have a download link to it? Or, if anyone has it, mind putting up a link?

Games / TF2 Closes on Startup
« on: August 14, 2010, 09:37:59 PM »
So, I just reinstalled TF2.
When I try to start it, it starts in a window, but does not show the window border.
It shows the Valve logo, and when the "Powered by Source" screen fades away, the window just closes at once and shows the Steam update news.

I instructed Windows Firewall to allow TF2 to run as it needs to, but yet, it still has the same results.

Help?

Games / My GBA SP is a dead :c
« on: August 13, 2010, 09:42:08 AM »
I got my red GBA SP in christmas 2004 or 2005, I forget, and I got it with Sonic Advance 3.

Today, on Friday the 13th, one of my very loved ones was taken away.
Today is the day my red SP died.

In all, I have over 25 GBA games, and almost 20 GB games, and me and my family played them to no end. Hours and hours of fun, and I can still use my brothers' old GBA, but it just won't be the same.

Right now, it has about 1/4 of it's last charge left, but after that, it is gone.

R.I.P., my Red SP. You will be missed.

Games / Portal: "Frequency out of range"
« on: July 16, 2010, 04:14:29 PM »
Yeah, whenever I try to play portal, it just says that on the monitor. It's been like this since like the day after I bought it when I fiddled with the resolution. I see that in the Blockland FAQ that you just have to change to windowed display with Alt-Enter, is there some sort of key combination for Portal as well?

Games / Fat Princess or Castle Crashers? (PSN)
« on: June 20, 2010, 03:20:06 PM »
So, I recently picked up a $20 card for the PSN. It was originally supposed to be so I could be ready for Castle Crashers PSN.
While browsing through the games on the Playstation Store, I found a game called "Fat Princess", and it really looks fun and tempting. So, which should I get? I am quite a The Behemoth fan, but this Fat Princess game really looks like it can compete in terms of which is better, so, which should I choose?

why couldn't I just have gotten a $30 card D:
