If you want to make more complex maps, use GZDoom Builder as it allows you to build with GZDoom features (Such as slanted floors/ceilings)

Aren't you able to do the same thing with ZDoom in hexen format cfg?

For 90's Doom games

What is doom?
Doom is a 1993 MS DOS Shooter made by Id software. Here's some story:
You're a lone space marine on mars. Demons from hell have overrun multiple bases and it's your job to do some cleanup work.

Source ports
 ZDoom
  ZDoom downloads DOOM2.wad or DOOM.wad is required to use ZDoom.
  ZDoom v2.8.1 is the barebones source port. Non-openGL.
  GZDoom is an OpenGL version of ZDoom that provides a lot of options. Customize settings all you want.
    Get started with GZDoom (Video)

Zandronum
  Zandronum.com
  Zandronum is multiplayer doom. Just like GZDoom you can use it as a source port for singleplayer too.

Editing programs
Doom builder
  doombuilder.com
  Doom builder is an easy to use mapping program for Doom, Doom2, Chex quest, Hexen and heretic.
Slade 3
  slade.mancubus.net
  Slade 3 is a .wad editor where you can extract & import files into wads, .pk3's and much more.
I'm working on a .wad but I'll probably never get it finished.

well sometimes here for one. i've seen many examples of people doing just that on the internet. not everyone are jerks with each other on the internet like so many people are lead to believe

I've concluded my 10 second thought process for my answer.

It's 50/50 On how I see it. Either logic is denied or It's blown out of proportion. Or you can just agree with the most "popular" person in the argument and don't judge it at all. No matter how right or wrong their opinion is.
