Off Topic / This virus has transformed me.
« on: June 20, 2011, 04:21:11 PM »
Since my pc got a virus and I reformatted and lost everything including my internet connection.
I haven't used a pc in a while, and because of that, I've been bored as hell and needing something to do.
So I rolled up my coins from my coin bank I've had since I was 5, and got $24.70, I also got a debit card and ordered Bully from gamestop.
I'm also thinking about an internship, something I would've never even considered had I had something to do; like go on the forums all day long and chat on steam and other stupid teen stuff.
What happened to my PC made me slightly depressed for a week or so,  then I got over it and now I just do business projects and laze around the house all day.
Because I have unlimited time on my hands, I'm also doing work and stuff for FREE. Now that I need something to do, I dont demand/beg for pay above $5.

I still refuse to go outside though.

I have this virus, called pppidgrp
As soon as i started up my PC unnoticed I forgot there was a mysterious .exe i needed to terminate on every start up so i could eventually get rid of it.
But by the time I got there it had already crashed my PC, and now it wont start up! It shows the standard blue starting screen with all the command options, but after that it just leaves me at a blank screen with the cmd cursor blinking.
Please blocklanders, I NEED YOUR HELP

and so you wont make any useless posts inquiring why i can make this post, im using my parents computer temporarily

recommend either console
or make an attempt to suggest me some good cheap wii games

1. One thing that really annoys me is how my mom won't let me complete luigi's mansion because she thinks that it will invite demons into the house.
2. Another thing is she randomly took 2 days off of my spring break for no reason, and since I am not allowed to play on sunday, technically she took off 3 days. I asked why she did it, and she said I dont have to know, and life will be full of things I dont understand but have to do anyway. That sounds like the most untrue autistic bullstuff ever,
3. One other thing is that my parents want me to do 3 book reports in my spring break, even thought I only have to submit 1 book report, they want me to do 3 for some handicapped reason.
4. The dishwasher broke so I have to do dishes by hand and it takes around 2 hours to do so. Instead of trying to figure out how to replace this god forsaken thing, they are worried about backyard landscaping and repainting the loving house.
5. She said she views video games as the koreans/japs way of poisoning the young minds of children in america. And that all the american children aren't prepared for "tomorrow" because they are wasting their lives playing video games.

Games / Xbox, ps3, psp, or pc?
« on: October 20, 2010, 07:51:21 AM »
Right now i have 100+ dollars i planned on using for a psp and monster hunter.
but now that new vegas came out and i've never owned a next-gen console before, im leaning towards ps3 because i have more money on the way. however, saving up 6-700 more would allow me to buy a DECENT computer.
or should i buy an xbox just because i loving can

Off Topic / Taking apart electronics and fixing them
« on: October 11, 2010, 10:28:05 AM »
took apart my old ps2 controller with the limp joystick found what caused it
then i put it back together with 4 screws left and a forgeted up L2 button
The reason it was broken is because the little walls that moved it up and down were made out of white plastic and had wear and tear. i thought of putting pieces of paper in between the stick and the wall but everytime i moved it, the paper dissapeared.
So i just gave up and put it back together

Games / Hammerfight: That game where you swing giant balls
« on: September 29, 2010, 12:16:25 PM »

You play as a member of a tribe called the Gaiars, a strong race who have battled with large bugs to survive. When your tribe is destroyed you are taken prisoner and turned into a slave. As you are discovered to be the last living human gaiar, you are forced to battle in the arena. In battle, a man recognizes you as the son of a friend, and together you plot the downfall of the Emperor that ordered the destruction of the Gaiars.

In the physics based gameplay, the player swings large melee weapons and rely on centripetal force to give the object enough kinetic energy to destroy enemies. The initially released demo featured 6 main different types of weapons - four melee and two ranged. The different weapon types offer a certain variety. To be a slow, but well armored powerhouse using hammers or maces to deliver slow, but crushing blows, or a nimble, but poorly protected swordwielder, delivering quick, but weak attacks, is entirely up to the player. The game also contains a few different playmodes, such as a hunt on worms or a hammerball game.

The equipped weapon is connected to the player's hovering vehicle, and has physically realistic inertia. By moving the vehicle in circles, it is possible to swing the weapon in circles. Keeping the weapon spinning, getting it to solidly connect with your foes, and avoiding their own weapons and other threats represents one of the main the challenges of the game. Weapon type must also be taken into consideration, with blades more effective against armour, and heavier blunt weapons dealing higher damage to craft. Two weapons can be equipped simultaneously, and a player can experiment with different weights and types to find a pair of weapons that compliment each other, or the players playstyle.
