Crysis isn't that hard of a game to run on High, AA is what puts stress on your system.

8xAA for me, thank you very much.

Core i7 920 @ 3.5Ghz
ATI Radeon HD 5970

I get around 60-65 FPS on completely maxed settings for Crysis.  Sometimes, during nukes and such, it drops down to around 50 or so, but it mostly stays up there.

What, does no one play Five?

Bought Crysis Maximum because I got my paycheck this morning just in time. Good times.

I am upset because relatives got me the Crysis pack for $20 for Christmas.

Stupid steam.

Rookie, this game is awesome, you just can't handle it.  Seriously.  I, one who can barely get through games on Easy, had no problem with this game.

Faction buildings are accessed by walking up to the guy at the door and pressing "use", he'll pat you down and take away your guns so you can walk in.

There's a diamond indicator on your car's GPS, too, that's the main way I found diamonds, by driving to the mission and seeing it start blinking.  The best way to find the diamonds is to turn around very slowly, in a full circle, and when the light stops blinking and is permanently lit, that's the exact direction the diamond case is in.  Don't try playing "warmer, colder", it doesn't work.

Don't worry about the effing arms dealer, he's only there so you can do missions for him.  Use the computer to buy the guns.  Look at a wiki to find out what things do, sometimes the titles are ambiguous and you'll waste your money.  Best thing to do is save before you buy, and then if you don't like it, reload.  I used a unlock all weapons cheat because I think it's ridiculous to have to get the diamonds and THEN unlock the guns.

Anyone want to list the pros and the cons on some games?

Didn't you read my list?  If you want a second opinion, be my guest, but that's pretty much it.

If you play any shooter on a console, you have no right to have an opinion on it.

Shooters are meant to be played on a PC.  You can't aim with those stupid brown townog sticks.

Bad Company 2 is one of those games that is way more fun if you've played it since release.  Sorry to burst any bubbles, but everyone is rank 30+ now and pretty much only plays the new maps.  The old maps, IMO, were better, but most newbies will never get to play them.

AaAaAA! - Good, but gets kinda tiring after a while.  The in-your-face presentation was overwhelming for me, I really didn't get it.

Beat Hazard - Just another indie game that gets kinda popular for taking something from Audiosurf, which wasn't that good in the first place.

Delve Deeper - Don't know about this one, doesn't look too good.

Zombie Driver - Excellent.  Really, I mean really, good.  New huge updates bring a lot more life into what would've been a stale game.

Company of Heroes - Hands down the best RTS of all time.  Get Tales of Valor as well, it gives you all of the extra multiplayer content (new factions, etc.)

GTA:SA - I'd go with GTA4 and spend a bit extra money.

KOTOR - I can't believe you haven't played this yet.  Now that it's old, it's kinda lost it's lustre, and isn't as groundbreaking anymore with the likes of Mass Effect and Dragon Age.  In other words, great at it's time, now, kinda meh.

Call of Duty WaW - If you're going to get any old CoD, get the first Modern Warfare, or grab the 2nd one while it's on sale.  Don't get WaW, it's terrible.

Team Fortress 2 - Why not?  No need to explain anything here, great game.

Bejeweled 3 - Really?  I'd go with Puzzle Quest first (basically Diablo with Bejeweled as the combat system, really great game), and if not that, Peggle.

Monday Night Combat - Don't know about this one.  Whatever.

Super Meat Boy - Get it, but if you're like me and don't play games for the challenge, you won't like it as much.  Be prepared to spend hours redoing levels because of their enormous difficulty.  Most people claim that's part of the fun, you can decide that for yourself.

Depths of Peril - What? Never heard of this.

All in all, you have a fairly good list of cheap games, with some glaring mistakes (please, whatever you do, don't get World at War) but otherwise you're fine.

I rarely get kills with that.   I'm always bumping into things because it forces you to steer from the mouse.

Works fine for me.  The only problem I had was with updating GFWL, but that was easily fixed by signing in on another game (like DiRT 2) and downloading the update from there.

Urban Terror - One-shotted by a sniper whilst wall-jumping in order to get up to his camping spot.

Cortex Command - Shot the engine off an enemy drop ship with a heavy sniper, the dropship crashed into the ground and during the crash, the other engine came off intact, flew through the air, circled around the map, and hit me from behind, killing me.

Braid - I hate those stupid bunnies.

DEFCON - played as the United States against a Russian player.  Completely forgot to defend the east coast.

Darwinia - Was rushing a virii (the flying ones) spot with the armor, to set up a turret with whatever darwinians were still alive in it.  The armor was destroyed a few squares away from where it was about to set up.

Battlefield 2142 - After knifing everyone in the back (by getting behind them with the cloaking device) my team's commander calls an arty strike on me.

Mafia 2 - Walked in to a diner to rob the place.  Apparently the bomber gang likes that particular diner, because as soon as I pulled a gun there were four black guys in my face with their own.

Far Cry 2 - Shot an incoming jeep with my RPG, only to have to fly into my face.  My buddy came and helped me, but then we both die because the fire from the explosion had spread to where I was laying.

Resistance and Liberation - Was clearing a room near my flag, heard a bunch of footsteps upstairs.  I called out "any national socialists up there?".  I heard "yeah" and then I saw a grenade land near my feet.

Shattered Horizon - Was sniping, a guy threw a flare right in front of my face so I was blind, then came up below the asteroid I was using and shot me in the back.

IL-2 Sturmovik - After chasing a p-38 across the entire map at about 100-200 feet (I finally brought it down), I find out that my engine is now overheated beyond repair and I start leaking oil all over my roosterpit.  I eventually crashed into a tree.  Or a house.  I couldn't see.
