Seems to me Otis told you what his opinion of you was and you went all "You're a troll" on him.

That's exactly what happened to me on the "my life is gone" thread.

So now, I've been on both sides.  The side that has an opinion and gets called a troll, and the side that calls the guy with the opinion a troll.

Seems to me it doesn't matter which side you are on, you still get called a troll when you don't deserve it.

That's my whole point.  Not that otis won all of his arguments, but that I'm not getting myself in a big mess.

They are baiting me, just like they did last time.  This time, I'm not falling for it.

In my mind, anyone who's gonna bait a guy into an argument and then blame it on him is a troll.

Do you even know what trolling is? Otis is not a troll, just a servant that brings the news to the people.
He pointed out that your acting all high and mighty when you shouldn't be, and you come back being all defensive and insult him. Nice job, you just helped Otis be correct.

What's defensive about saying that I won't take the bait like last time?

Oh wait, because I'm saying that I'm being defensive again aren't I.

Seems like anything anybody says is designed to pull me back down into an argument where I'll eventually be blamed for everything, insulted for doing things everyone else does, etc.

And as you read, count exactly how many arguments you have been in since you've been here, and how many times you've constructively contributed to the community. If you're still "oblivious" then give me a shout and I'll be happy to elaborate even further.

You can go ahead and count places that you've tried to start arguments too.

It's the internet.  Lots of folks here are guilty of getting into stupid arguments and not constructively contributing to the community.  Why do I take the hit for them?

In fact,

Brutal verbal assault... what Ephi said goes for half this community though, I'm guilty of it plenty of times myself.

This is exactly what I'm talking about.  Why should I be flamed for doing something that most people on here do?

Do you think the drama section constructively contributes to the community?

Do you think the last posts you've made in the drama section have constructively contributed to the community?

However, that is balanced by the excellent add-ons you make, which help the community a lot.

Do you think the last posts of people like Ronin (no hard feelings) have constructively contributed to the community?

How many forums have you been on where threads contain stupid arguments?  Why should this forum be any different?

Do you think that in order to be a good member, every post you make has to be constructive?

Hey, if that last one is true, I deserve any flaming I get.  But so do most of the people on here as well.  I can provide many examples.



So, I resolve that in the future, I will not be so hostile, and not provoked by stupid things the "my life is gone" thread.

Sorry for offending anybody in my recent arguments.

I was the one who wrote that, I should be the one who knows what it means.  You are not the arbitrator here.

I was not saying anyone won.  I specifically said "even though no one persuaded each other to the other side", meaning, NO ONE WON.  Get that through your small head rebel.

I definitely didn't win, nor did Ronin, it ended a stalemate, but most importantly, IT ENDED.  GET OVER IT.  I was NOT trying to get the last word, but guess what?  An idiot (you) comes along and decides to turn everybody against each other ALL OVER again, just because he thinks he's the one who decides the meaning of my posts.

Sorry Ronin, if you have the same opinion as rebel, I didn't mean for my post to be so "ambiguous".  I was not trying to get the last word, nor was I trying to say I won.  I was just being excited because an online debate actually ended, even though no one won.  Take my word for it, I wrote the post.  Hopefully we can get over this without idiots like only1rebel trying to restart the argument.
