I understand where you are coming from. But, Christianity isn't really religion, it is just classified under it. It is more of an understanding and love of the higher intelligence we call God. Religion, I believe and so many others do too, is wrong because it is based on doing good works to get into Heaven, which doesn't make sense.

Then why are you a Catholic?

Don't tell me that's not what Catholics believe, that good works get you into heaven, because millions have died because of that argument.

But I'm curious, if you think that belief is wrong, why are you a Catholic?

Let's get this back off-topic, WEEEEEEEE!

Ghost, it's getting to about the end of your 2nd argument cycle.  If I'm not mistaken, you're saying the same things over and over again in a pattern.  Are you a Catholic bot?

Ghost, Meeses was talking about the original subject, Iban being a jerk to a whiner.  Or at least that's what I think.  Who knows, he didn't say.

Unlike us, we are still stuck yelling at each other about I don't know what now.

I'm not debating on here just to make myself feel good, I'm debating to defend what I believe in.

You may think I'm here to "fulfill a greater need", just like you're on here to make witty statements to people who disagree with you, that makes you feel better, don't it?

I'm not.  I'm here to debate, as this is what this thread is right now, a debate.  My arguments are not self-motivated.

Seriously, you can't flame me for participating in something just like everyone else.  It's the internet, come on.

A debate is where two or more folks who have differing views try to persuade each other, or in a public debate, the audience, of their view.

You can't bash me for having a view.  Come on.

Ronin, you were right about the "greater importance" thing, it was started because the other "christians" on here couldn't stand being "hated".  Hey, it's a forum, right?  Thought I might as well jump in, usually these things are fun.

lol sorry, I really get into debates and I can't help it.
Let me say somethings real quick though:

Martin Luther went against Christianity, thus we have so many subdivisions.
And I meant cohesive with current events. Christianity is less present in today's society.

"Many scientists disagree with global warming."
What about the info I provided? Zero out of a large consensus disagreed. Scientists are being pressured to state otherwise to the public. The movie An Inconvenient Truth states this and provides more evidence. Yes scientists were afraid to loose their jobs, but that was when the idea of global warming was first emergent and the government saw it as a hoax.

"Saints, according to real Catholicism are people who have lived sin-free lives.  I am not referring to the emergent Church, I am referring to the Roman Catholic church.  Know your doctrine, unless you're not really a Catholic."
This is an unfair assumption; I know my doctrine. Catholics believe saints are people of great virtue.

If you want to continue this then lets do so in pm. Honestly I hate debating myself; we should debating skeptics and haters on this board, not each other.

Martin Luther was FOR Christianity.  The Roman Catholic Church was trying to sell forgiveness to make money!  They said Christ's death wasn't enough, you had to pay to be able to get into heaven!  They said that God can only be reached with a priest, when Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."  They said that the virgin Mary was a deity!  They said that righteousness does not come by faith alone!

Martin Luther was against all those BLATANT HERESIES, and you say he was AGAINST CHRISTIANITY?

On global warming.

"Zero out of a large consensus..."

Did you even read what I just said?  That is manipulated data used to fuel a liberal agenda, which scientists are PAID to say.  You have been brain-washed to believe the "consensus".  Scientists don't want to lose funding from the liberal-controlled universities, so they say they agree with Global Warming.  I'm not talking about the government.

You're so called "info" is the real hoax.

Real NASA Satellite data has shown that the only increase in world temperature is by 3 ppm!  That's PARTS PER MILLION!

I love how religion debates get started, by the feeling of wanting to argue something "more important than ones' self" and then basing all the "facts" on personal beliefs rather than maintaining that "greater importance" feeling which originally fueled the debate.

Then again it's all a bunch of bullstuff, idiots trying to elevate themselves in a vain attempt to look deep.

Actually, none of that happened here.

Some guy noticed that Iban said he hated Christians.  And then BOOM!

But  :cookie: for you for telling it like it was 1890.

I can say make fun of you with a smile and not feel guilty about it at the same time, I'm that good.

So not feeling guilty is the same as being forgiven?  Nice.

Didn't know sins were so trivial.  I should try this not feeling guilty illusion stuff sometime.

Because that was incredibly gay.

Nice little sin-free Catholic response there.

Duckmeister you're a loving idiot, just get out.

Need me to call the WAAAAAAAAAAAMbulance?

This is hilarious that a stupid "Iban is mean waaaaaah" topic has turned into a religious debate.

Ghost, this is now for PM's only, go ahead and PM that post to me and we'll discuss it.

Debating you is exhausting.  You say the world is getting worse based on POLLS?
You've got to be kidding me.

First off, do you really think the world was all happy and cheery at 1 A.D?
Of course not, historical evidence, and biblical evidence AFFIRM that the world was MUCH WORSE, and has gotten better ever since.

Today's world, while bad, is still much much better than it was before.  Have you ever imagined, with all the things we know now about past times, how bad it would've been to live in those times?  Have you ever imagined the violence and immorality in the medieval times?  Have you ever imagined the violence and immorality in revolting France?

Second, the 7th and 8th beasts have a wide variety of interpretations.  Martin Luther said that they signified the Roman Church.  Some folks think it's the Islamic nation

Third, "it is believed".  Nice.  I'd like some fact with my argument please.

Fourth, yes, science can understand patterns of climate, however, that method is known to be inaccurate.  That does not mean that there were more natural disasters now than then.  I mean come on, we're not getting world-wide floods everyday are we?

Fifth, my beliefs are quite cohesive, they are backed by actual science, rather than liberals with an agenda.

Many scientists disagree with global warming.  They are afraid to say so because they will lose their jobs, because the liberal science community won't back anybody who doesn't agree with global warming.  Talk about controlling the people by spreading lies, eh?

Global warming is being pushed to control the products, and essentially, the economy of the world.  The UN and others are setting up world-wide committees to control it.  It's also used to brain-wash the people of the world, so that they are easier to brain-wash on other liberal doctrines.  There is a whole agenda behind it.  And that agenda is to control the world.  Global warming is just the economy, what's next?

Saints, according to real Catholicism are people who have lived sin-free lives.  I am not referring to the emergent Church, I am referring to the Roman Catholic church.  Know your doctrine, unless you're not really a Catholic.

Don't get me wrong. I try to live as sin free as I can.  But Catholicism requires a sin free life because Catholicism states that Christ's death was not enough to atone for our sins.  Later, they said that you can leech the excess goodness from folks who DID live a sin free life, now called saints.

THAT'S what I'm saying is wrong.

There you go again with the whole "Christianity is right, everything else can go to hell" logic.
So we try to live a sin free life, boo hoo.
I'm sure that goes against everything ever taught to you growing up.

I'm pointing out the errors in your logic, and defending mine.  That's called debate.  Get over it.

You can try to do the same thing, instead of calling me names and bashing me for actually trying to debate with you.  If I can't defend my position [exaggeration]or saying it's right[/exaggeration], and point out the fallacies in your position [exaggeration]everything else is stupid[/exaggeration], there's no debate.  It's us yelling at each other.

And that's exactly it, you TRY to live a sin free life.  You know you can't.  Please, hundreds of years of fallacious popes guaranteed that.

Guys lets debate this logically, let's not argue.
My views ARE of real Christianity, you can't make your own sense of it. And I'm not saying we know when the end times will occur, but it is logical that the world being the way that it is (and it keeps getting worse), something immense will occur soon because it has to.

Also:
The temple is being considered to be rebuilt.
A New World Order is plastered on our currency and is being pushed, probably thanks to the John Burch society.
A Red Herring has been discovered.
If the economy collapses, and it most likely will, it would be logical to create a one world currency.
Earthquakes and natural disasters have increased.
Information has increased.
Technology has improved.
The planet is getting warmer.
...just to name a few.
Not really; there are just a lot of false prophets that manipulate the gospel, thus other people find fault in it. I have been challenging the Bible (because we should challenge all beliefs to filter truth), and everything adds up perfectly so far, it is completely cohesive.
Catholicism is a subdivision of Christianity; how can it be different when it's based on Christianity?

Quote
The temple is being considered to be rebuilt.

Jesus said himself that that was allegorical.  Jesus IS the temple, at the resurrection it was rebuilt.

Quote
A New World Order is plastered on our currency and is being pushed, probably thanks to the John Burch society.

Does the Bible really say that the last times involve having a New World Order? Of course not.

Quote
A Red Herring has been discovered.

What?

Quote
Earthquakes and natural disasters have increased.

No, they haven't.  Do you know how many natural disasters have happened pre-1600s?  Of course not, no one kept too many records, and records have been lost, etc.

Quote
Information has increased.

That's a good thing.  The world is getting better.
Quote
Technology has improved.

Again, that's another good thing.

Quote
The planet is getting warmer.

I hate debating this.  No one ever listens, they just listen to the "consensus", but try actually doing some research.  Global Warming is not real.

The Bible does NOT teach the world is getting worse, and it's obvious it isn't.  The world is way better than it was before.

Well, no matter what I put my schedule quota at, once we had our first section up, it would give us the schedule quota limit reached error.   I tried setting it at 9999999999999, still would give us that error.

We had a few blinking lights, about 7 doors, and a zombie release system composed of about 9 events total.

Help!
