I’ve thought about trying out mining, since I have a crossfire setup but decided not to since I probably won’t make anything
Do not go into mining directly. Use something like Nicehash. I do it and I get ~3$ per day with my 1070

yea it's wrong but imo if my teacher came onto me back when I was under 18 I'd be fine with it. not advocating child enthusiasm but, just saying... id consent
then just close your eyes and pretend she's hot 20 year old. works for me all the time
phantos just because you pretend your sister is a hot 20 year old doesn’t mean she actually is :/

Personally I think programming courses are a total waste of money. There is nothing computer science related that you cannot learn for free. There is also no objectively right answer for what language your should learn first. You should base that decision on the practicality and not just semantics. There is no point in learning how to program in a language that you ultimately wont be productive with.
tru

hell no. 800$ to learn c++ in a class which you’re going to forget the majority of the content later in life is useless. i learned c++ without ever taking a class, or, even going online to see tutorials. i used the documentation, and some examples. that’s it, and, not to mention that damn near all of the c++ courses force you to learn it one way and force an over-reliance on the std library, which, while, yes, it’s pretty okay, but you should be library agnostic in a perfect world and be able to adapt instead of thinking that you need std::map to solve one specific thing, blah blah. it’s stupid.

By default, the root user on unix systems has no password. Presumably this null value was improperly equated with the value of a null string. It's not exactly something that you'd think to check, either, since any people who are enough of a poweruser to know to look for this kind of stuff are probably enough of a poweruser to set their own root password so they can use it. The only way I could see this kind of thing getting caught is through proper code review or internal entry testing, and stuff gets missed in code reviews and pen tests all the time if it is not a known exploit.
yes however the root user on nearly all Unix systems has login via tty, etc, login in GENERAL disabled. login is usually only available after you set a password to the acct, iirc

I have sent this to the youtube video.

"Oh man,if you knew... I sent the military a request to track you down and they said yes. They will find you with thier M4s. The M4s are actually for resistance. I sent an order to capture you and let me toture you. I will use everything to waterboarding and then electric shocks and then break bones using CIA torture techniques and then i will hang you and let you live PAINFULLY.

You will be also forcefed so you will live your life in torture."
