it's already been a full year since the last thread was made back then, now we're a few days near of what's basically the middle of the decade, wow! time sure does fly huh? it almost feels like the pandemic started yesterday and all.

anyways, now's the time to reflect back on this year's goals and start thinking about the next ones going forward. does anyone have anything in mind yet? any stuff that you didn't get to do that you might wanna try again next year?

Gonna have to say force of habit as well. Even if I don't play the game that much due to lack of activity, the action of just typing "blo" on the search bar and just checking in to see if there's something new has been forever stuck on my brain for almost a decade now, and even if there is nothing I still refresh the page constantly like kicking a TV to make it work. Feels like a drug that can no longer satiate you, only on very rare occasions.

from a technical standpoint it's impressive to see how much the engine has evolved over the years, but everything else has taken a turn for the worse honestly. this might be boomer talk but it really does feel like things went truly downhill after tix were removed

was going to mention immersive sim games like deus ex or system shock since they have an emphasis on story stuff, but since you mentioned no rpg elements it got a bit complicated (unless you mean stuff like the fps fallout games). you could try selaco and trepang2 since you played f.e.a.r., they're pretty inspired by it.
