I'm disappointed by your post consisting of assumptions again. I have heard many accounts of evolution and have considered believing them. Do not assume what I have or haven't done.
You assume it to be wrong because you assume the bible to be correct. It is valid because every person who has a scientific background in biology and doing active research has all found concurring evidence showing it to be true.

How is it not? You can't say you know anything about science because you assume what is true before you acquire any evidence for it. You are one of the few people on this planet who enjoys the benefits of modern science and at the same time denies what it obviously shows.
Also, paleontology is not the only field in which there is overwhelming evidence of the age of the universe. Cosmology, physics, chemistry, geology and a myriad of other specialized fields.

It makes perfect sense. To a creationist, evolution = false means creationism = true.
To someone using real logic, evolution = false does not always mean creationism = true.
Similar thing happens when they say "well the whole scientific community is an atheist conspiracy therefore I can disregard everything they have collectively figured out." Their logic dictates that they know more than people who have spent their professional lives researching and testing evolutionary biology. That's creationist logic.
