You need to control the population, I see no problem, Just like here in Pennsylvania theres over population of Deer and lots of them are starving to  death because of over population. That's why I hunt :D

I usually use mine raised on a small stand, and it rarely ever gets hot. Even when running demanding stuff on it. I suggest you poke around for a stand.

I'm gonna give a serious answer to this...

The leading theory about why the dinosaurs went extinct is that a large meteor hit the earth 65 million years ago. The dinosaurs were in no way all directly killed from the blast. When the meteor hit, it created a gigantic dust cloud that blocked out the sun for years. This in turn killed many of the plants, which the herbivorous dinosaurs fed on. They began to reduce in number, and they were the only food source for the carnivores. But, it is unlikely that this is the sole cause of the extinction. Flowering plants and grasses, which were just appearing at the time, began to replace the small shrubs and bushes that many medium sized herbivorous dinosaurs ate. There are countless other theories, from a global temperature drop to volcanoes adding to the soot in the atmosphere and extending the period without direct sunlight.

Still far from the big leagues my friend...very far.

Desktop GPU's offer significantly higher performance/price ratios.

I know that desktops are more powerful. Mine just really needs an upgrade, and my laptop is really useful.

my desktop video cards are 4 inches thick and 11 inches long each.

i am wondering what a $4K "gaming" laptop can really do in terms of power...

It can do quite a lot. I got a laptop a while ago equipped with an 8800M GTX, Intel T9500 @ 2.6ghz (dual core processor), and 3 gigabytes of RAM. The 8800M GTX is far superior to an 8400 GS, unlike what RW said. It is more powerful than my custom built desktop. Also, this costed a lot less than $4,000.
