But im trying to make a point here. Just because something made in another country other than japan has a japanese dub doesnt make it anime.
Doraemon is the best kids anime ever, and thats a fact, jack. You just dont give it enough credit. Here are the pros about Doraemon:
- A fresh, original art style.
- Fantastic animation.
- Awesome voice acting.
- Great storyline.
- Appealing characters.
- The best part of it all, and i'm suprised i didnt bring this up earlier in the thread; Its meant for all ages.
Cons about animes like Pokemon (or Pocket Monsters just for faithfullness of the japan version) and Dragon ball.
- Limited animation
- Generic art style
- Annoying and unappealing characters
- Bad staging (one of the 12 principles of animation)
- Terrible voice acting.
- Wretched storylines.
- Merchandise is fricking everywhere.
- Marketed towards teens and adults.
