There's a certain point where opposing armies are large enough so that you cannot oppose them without failure.

Ex. Army A has 3 soldiers to 1 soldier in Army B, so Army B will be overwhelmed.

Not true
Army A's 3 soldiers have say 3 pistols, compared to Army B's Sniper Rifle.
