Well in modern times people just turn off their radar to avoid detection, so passive sensors is the way to go.
Anyways we should, y'know, like, scan the loving ship or something. We should at least see if all power is down before we get what we want.

tau were pretty on the level for that adventure actually. although iirc a nova cannon instagibbed a crCIA suit which doesnt happen
what? nova cannons are starship mounted weapons, they could instakill a titan.
