Too bad it's not that simple.

Just because you think you are different mentally doesn't mean you are different physically unless you do surgery, and even then it still doesn't change the fact you were born another gender. The only people who really actually deserve a right to be confused physically are hermaphrodites, and most of the time they usually have a more prominent gender and are also usually corrected at birth.

I guess I was assuming too much then. Still, people will be bigots to almost anything new to them like non-heteroloveual personalities. The hate for the person isn't justified in any case however. The fact that she tries to keep it quiet YET they still make fun of her does show some very ugly aspects of kids these days.

Persecution from at least a few bigot individuals should be expected if you embrace and pronounce you are any non-heteroloveual loveuality. Tell them to brush it off, and comfort them if they feel hurt. People like that are more likely to commit Self Delete from what I know.

I'd approach the teachers about it.

It's not something that can be done by one student alone unless you're the largest person in the school but it certainly shouldn't be left alone.
