They just guess and go on what they think.
I guess then I'll just detach myself socially from them considering they can't take 10-30 seconds to ask and understand why and instead just assume things. There was literally only one other guy in my class who rejected for for the same reason as me and basically said "I don't care what they think about me", though he is quite the non-conformist from what I can tell from previous experiences. Besides, I don't want to be pushed over only by peer pressure to support that cause.
Also, if this stuff becomes the new McCarthyism, I will move out of this country ASAP

He's not dismissing the whole point of the thread.
Anyone with any common sense would know this would happen. If I was giving out the stickers, and someone said no to one, of course I'd presume they're anti-gay.
You should've just accepted the sticker. Whatever about wearing it, just show that you aren't anti-gay.
Also, knowing teenagers, you're going to be called gay and closet homo pretty damn soon by everyone.
If that's really how all teenagers think than I really want to graduate high school already. I know they might suspect I might not be tolerant of them, but they shouldn't act hypocritical to their cause. Maybe asking "Why not?" would have at least helped better than "Oh, he's one of THOSE people"
Stop stereotyping.
I know people who are gay, and while I may be against it, there are loads of Southerners who aren't.
I'm pointing out a stereotype, not necessarily stereotyping anyone.

So apparently some kids formed this gay-straight alliance for promoting the co-existence of those loveual preferences at my school and were giving out stickers to everyone. Me, who couldn't care less about the cause and think it's completely unnecessary due to the acceptance of homoloveuals in many areas, did not accept a sticker. As soon as I did this horrendous crime, everyone for it thinks of me a right-wing family man bigot for not supporting the cause despite me never speaking out against the group or people of other loveual preferences than my own during that time, thus making me a pariah. This pretty much shows that they are being hypocritical in a sense and show intolerance and ridicule anyone not for their cause who may also not be against it necessarily, just not caring, and going against the message of acceptance and understanding that they are trying to promote.
Also, I do not hate homoloveuals because they are gay, don't get me wrong, I tolerate them as people. Besides, I know bi loveual guys who also think this cause is dumb.
Sorry for the run ons, it's pretty much a rant.

It just seems very, crackly, best I can put it, which I don't like that much when it comes to guys trying to scream. The band still sounds awesome though and easily make up for it in my opinion.
