the most that happens at my school is just that basically everyone and their dog does weed. it gets so bad that during spring they'll actually have teams(+dogs) randomly search classrooms checking for the stuff.

yeah we get drug dogs a lot. we also get a ton of drug testing each month.

If you can't think of anything to say then don't say it, there is no need for filler words. Smart people speak to be heard but idiots speak to speak.

there's nothing wrong with filler words lol, don't be a snob. it's perfectly okay for people to use things like "like" or "um" to give their brain a moment to process what they're going to say. i use filler words all the time because they give me a chance to think and indicate that i'm just thinking and intend to keep speaking, but i speak in a very proper manner and by no means am i dumb. get over yourself and realize that filler words and helpful to people.

i'm asking this because my school is super strict to the point of being absurd

today a bunch of my friends 8th period had some scotch tape under their eye. they did it all the time last year because it felt funny. i never really understood it. today they got in trouble for it and the teacher ripped it off their face, saying they could get suspended for gang signs. apparently it's because some hip hop dude named nelly wears tape under his eye.

girls also get in trouble all the time for wearing headbands in their hair (they're mostly black girls and they use the headbands to keep their stray edges in place). they especially get in trouble when they use bandanas (think u.s. flag or camo bandanas) to tie their hair up.

so how strict is your school when it comes to the horrific threat of gang-related signs and activity??

you must go to a pretty stuffty school if theyll drop you this early into the school year for being lazy. sorry to hear about that i hope it works out for you.

i wish they did that in my school. my pre/AP classes would be so much better if the kids who only sit in the back of the room and talk loudly were gone.

mine is pretty good i guess. i don't really hate any of my classes except 2nd period because it's algebra and it's all on the computer. chemistry is meh because the teacher really bogs us down with work. other than that it's chill, i have all but two of my classes with two of my friends and then i have two classes with my squad.

i also have this side question on the subject of school if op doesnt mind i ask

i tried changing my classes from non honors to honors, i havent got an answer. what do i do if i get non honors i dont want to be there

talk to the counselor about it. when i wasn't put in AP i talked to my school's counselor and she fixed it in a day. tbh i wish most of the kids who are in ap weren't in ap, most of them don't want to do any work and whine whenever they have to read more than a paragraph or write more than 3 sentences

ask the teacher what you can do for extra credit. ask for help when you don't understand things. look on tutoring sites like khan academy for some extra help. study more.
