the other thread got too old to bump, and I plan on releasing some stuff soon so this was only necessary.



I haven't finished this one yet, for a variety of reasons. One of them being that everyone complained that the halls were too narrow (forget you all). When I finish it, the title will be linked to the save. For now, it is linked to the thread because tbh it just wouldn't fit in here.



The Yarov



The yarov-class defense frigate was meant to answer a need for multirole frigates to serve in major battles. However, Two days after her commissioning, BAN's primary enemy collapsed internally, and the need for large fleets disappeared. The ship was brand new and already obsolete. Most of the ships were scrapped, with a couple of examples surviving in planetary defense fleets and pirate bands.

The Lucifer

This ship I made as an experiment. I had just finished "Hunt for Red October for what must've been the 500th time, so I decided I would make a spaceship designed to be reminiscient of a submarine. As such, I made its primary weapons torcreeps, and even evented a very cool subspace rift mode that is broken because ase won't give me his god damn emitters.

But I do have saves so yippee

As for the saves, there are two versions. One with my personal RP version, complete with radio mod, helm and captain chair, and one without. The second one gives the player more flexibility with their bridge.

The Citation

The whole idea behind the citation was a ship that could pretty much fight in any direction, so it has gun turrets covering all but the rear and a bit of the top. This makes it a heavy hitter in battles, with powerful engines making it quite speedy. It's like a fighter plane compared to the other ships in the fleet.

The Lily

For this ship I wasn't really aiming for any specific goal. I was literally just richarding around with an engine design, and i liked it enough to make it a new ship. I've been working on her for a good two months of on/off working, so the design theme changed a little bit in different parts of the ship. However, I believed she turned out beautifully. I have two versions, the base version and RP version. The Base is in the standard yellow scheme. The RP is crimson.

This ship marks the first ship design that ARES has put out since the days of the great space war. Not only is it heavily armed, but can carry two fighters for recon purposes. Generator interior. Not much to see here, but credit to whoever built the NoMercy build, I used the general look of the generator there, here. Also, there's a switch that allows admins to turn off/on all the streetlights.

~Description~
The Pulse Rifle is the standard weaponry of Tau Fire Warriors and their Shas'ui leaders. While about the size of an Imperial Lasgun, it is far more powerful. It fires a plasma pulse, which is generated when an induction field accelerates a particle which breaks down as it leaves the barrel. The small circular device near the end of the barrel is a housing for a gyroscope that is part of an aim-stabilization system that allows the rifle to remain steady on target and angled for optimal firing at distance regardless of factors like shaking hands. This helps to give pulse rifles a greater effective range than many other infantry weapons.

The pulse rifle has a 12 round magazine and is semi-automatic. It does 30 damage per shot and is relatively accurate.

The pulse carbine has a 24 round magazine, fully automatic, does as much damage as the rifle but is far less accurate.

The pistol is essentially a less accurate version of the rifle.

The armor comes yellow, and is activated with /tauhelmet and /taushoulderpad

XV8 CrCIA Battlesuit



~Fluffy Descripteroo~
  • The XV8 is the standard-issue suit used by the Fire Caste, though other variants exist, the most common being the Broadside Battlesuit. The CrCIA suit is packed with advanced technology, including a jetpack, recoil absorbers and targeting sensors. Information gathered from the CrCIA' sensor suite can be transmitted to command units, providing them with updated battlefield intelligence. A nanocrystaline alloy armour is used, giving the suit superior protection while keeping weight at a minimum. Although the armour provides superior protection against most small arms, it is no defence against heavier weapons such assault cannons and lascannons which penetrate right through.

So essentially, this thing will fly around and ruin people's days.

CRUNCHY DESCRIPTION
  • Jetpack with limited jump ability. Prevents bunnyhopping.
  • 350 HP
  • cool as forget model


Comes with *7* fancy weapons designed specifically for this suit!

  • Plasma Rifle: Your mainstay long-midrange weapon, highly accurate but not as damaging as other, more powerful, plasma weapons.
  • Burst Cannon: A short-midrange weapon which values sheer fire output over accuracy. Wildly innaccurate past short range, does very high damage.
  • Cyclic Ion Blaster: The burst cannon's younger cousin. This baby raycasts, does variable damage, and is ridiculously accurate. The only downside is the rather lacking range on the weapon.
  • Tau Flamer: Your good ol' flamethrower. Good in close-quarters combat, where the flame is likely to blind your opponent.
  • Fusion Blaster: A short-ranged weapon that fires one shot at a time, but instantly kills normal blockheads. Just hope you're not caught out in the open after you pounce with this thing...
  • Rocket Pod: Fires three unguided, gravity-affected rockets in quick succession before reloading. Good for long-range bombardment, but not as good as...
  • TWINLINKED RAILGUNS: The god of battlesuit weapons. This thing has unlimited range, instantly kills anything it hits short of a tank, but is offset by its bulkiness and long reload time. Of course, with this thing you might not have to worry about the opposition getting close at all...


KNOWN BUGS
  • The model glows in shader mode. If this bothers you too much turn shader mode off for now. We're looking into a fix.
  • (not technically a bug but I know I'm going to get yelled at about it)Projectiles spawn from the weapon muzzles. This is known and by design. It would make no sense if the crCIA suit started spitting bullets or flame out of its head. To compensate at close range for this aim slightly to the left.

You guys are loving annoying. You either A) don't understand the joke and attempt to talk "reason" into them or B)play along. You guys are like those kids on the playground who'd always try to be a part of inside jokes or private games while trying to act like the "cool kids".

The whole joke clan gambit has been dead for at least a year now. It's probably the least amusing thing on the forums and has actually gotten people banned. Just stop participating.

I've had this issue since I've installed BL onto my new laptop. It's a 13" refurbished macbook pro with an Intel HD 3000 Graphics card.
