BEFORE BEFORE WE START HERE
Yes, I am reposting this topic. The original is too old to bump. Yes, we have not worked on this in two months. Blame school.
We have completely redone the beginning of the map. Instead of a shuttle, we are using drop pods. Instead of magically appearing at the army base, there is a canyon you must fight through. There are much fewer zombies now.
This map will be released on christmas.
BEFORE WE START HERE
I'd like to thank everyone who helped me with this, primarily gadgethm and vionix. Without their support this would never be finished. I'd also like to thank Tingalz, Doomcop, Frog, Monkeyboy, Aqua, I have not, and Legodude77 for donating structures and vehicles in the city. This is one of my few massive projects I actually finish, and I'm immensely proud of it. I hope you guys are too.
Now before we go over the map, Tingalz has aptly described the difficulty of this map.
THIS MAP IS VERY HARD
If your team isn't coordinated you will die before you reach the first rest stop. I guarantee it. We're working to make an easier version that standard lemmings can play, and we'll call that "meatgrinder".
SO

Background:
On the planet Klendathu IV, Insurrectionist forces have recently formented a full scale revolt against the colonial government. After weeks of intense warfare, the insurrectionists stole a Biological Weapon, planning to levy a surrender on the part of the government. Mysteriously, the government tripled its offensive against the insurrectionists. With their back to the wall, they used it, with devastating effects.
This is the story of the Marine team sent to retrieve the colonial governor.
An intrepid young soldier gets briefed on the situaton
The armory in the orbiting spaceship
A humble radio station that holds no importance to gameplay
"This village is awfully quiet..."
"I wonder what happened to the soldiers here..."
Down the road, we find what appears to be a fortified village.
Once we get inside, the place is abandoned.
We are soon given orders to move out to an army fort in the countryside. This is the canyon we must travel through.
This isn't a good sign.
A view of the fort from the surrounding forest.
An overview of the fort.
The interior of the main building.
The damaged tank that does nothing more but serve as a decoration.
The other entrance to the fort, much more fortified than the other.
Oh! What's this?
It looks like it's the old freeway tunnel!
The generator room is incomplete but will play a major part in the campaign.
If you repair/refuel/activate the broken generator, it will unlock a secret ending!
Not far from the generator room, the sewer door offer a way to get to the city quickly.
Our intrepid marine checks to see if the coast is clear.
It looks like survivalists use TNT to blow a cavern underground to live in. Impressive
Oh no this temporarily impedes our progress. A color-key to open this door can be found in the camp, at the cost of your primary weapon.
Up to the city we go~~~
There wasn't a lot of intel before the military fell, so you have to make this part up on your own.
Well that's not good.
Oh wow, looks like the police were completely overrun.
Well at least we have a clear shot at the governor's compound. The compound includes documents required to complete the mission.
A view of hte entire city.
Well, those are all the pictures I can show you. We'll have a save released soon, thanks for all your help!
