What's DooM?
If you have been living in a whole for about 16 years, you probably won't know about DooM...
It's a game released by ID Software in 1993. It has been a hit and is still played today. Now source ports are needed to play the game. Good news with that; you can play on 2/3 OS's. See below for info on playing. Back to DooM itself: It was released for PS1, N64, and of course: PC. Then they made DooM 2. It was for PS1, N64, and again, PC. There was another addition to the group in 2004(?); DooM 3. A graphical win for that era.
After DooM 3, DooM was ported to the GBA system. Still waiting for new updates...:(.
What Operating Systems does DooM play on?
Linux and Windows. Read further for how.
Why DooM?
It's fully customizable once you get into modding. Plus, it's just plain addicting! The old school fun.
Where do I buy DooM?
Steam sells it the cheapest for 10 U.S Dollars.

What do I do if I want DooM for free?
There is one option (legally).
1.FreeDoom.
It's a remake of DooM based of the DooM Engine.

WARNING: Not many servers host FreeDoom, try a LAN party!
How do I play well?:
If you ever have played Quake, then you should play decently here. You either have to have;
The reflexes of a hyperactive 8-year-old.
Or,
Some wits to use the ground to your advantage.
Also experience is the best training, to be honest.
