Except he absolutely did suggest a reworking of job structures and you're bullstuffting again.

The fact that he makes a point of saying "this can only be so effective" only solidifies the fact that this memo came off as hostile to those who did not have a specific set of skills/a specific manner of thinking more than it did a genuine effort to encourage reform. This is why he was fired.

Notice also that he only suggests a "Reduction" of the gender gap, and not the elimination of it?

Man, you try figuring out what that forgeted up experiment was supposed to mean. When you castrate a child and essentially rape them multiple times, you're going to end up with a broken and psychologically tortured human more than you will conclusive proof that certain differences are inherent in the lovees. He ended up acting like a girl, but he also got several debilitating mental illnesses. That tends to fog up the results of an experiment.

If you were told "Hey, here's a free house and access to whatever resources you could ever need within reason. We noticed you are trained to fix machines, please uphold your end of the bargain by fixing a machine every once in a while. No pressure, though, because there's tons of other people willing to help out." you would still hate doing it? Most people complain because of compiling pressure. Maybe it's the 10th AC they repaired today, as per company demand, and they can't ask for help because other repairmen are out meeting their own quotas. Not to mention, all the potential repairmen that could have been hired to make their job easier and lessen the workload were refused in order to maintain a net profit for the company.
In addendum, most people feel a basic instinct to return a favor in whatever way they can, by contributing to society using their skills. They will likely understand that contributions to society in return for its support is what keeps it running, and knowing that they are essentially helping society function gives them purpose, meaning. Purpose is the ultimate incentive, and will likely not be ignored.

I know this is part of a joke, but coming from a genuine place of curiosity, I don't understand where this logic comes from. I've been in my attic trying to fix my AC in the Georgia summer heat before. It's not an easy or remotely pleasant job. Even the guy we paid to do it couldn't shut the forget up about how difficult it was.

Who in America is willing to do these laborious jobs for nothing in return? Not even a sweet potato? Most people prefer to drink beer and watch TV in their spare time.

If any of that doesn't matter, then why isn't there one gender/love?
Females developed specific organs to carry children. Men developed specific organs to impregnate women.

Yeah it's not like you can be self employed and obtain money your own way. Nah thats not realistic.
If it's that easy, why aren't you running your own multinational business? Aren't you a tar-shoveling lackey? Why haven't you employed yourself yet?
Yeah instead of having multiple potential monopolies that are entirely dependent on people willingly using their products lets just have one big monopoly with the government in charge of everything, but thats okay, they are totally for the people it's not like there is an insane amount of corruption within the US government, thats just silly.
The people want what's best for themselves. When the people are allowed to work towards the interests of the people, unimpeded by a a layer of corporate-fueled bureaucracy, they are working towards their own interests.
This is so disingenuous that it hurts.

Because it doesn't matter. A boy who has his genitals chopped off and is raised as a girl will still have the same mindset, as shown by the David Reimer experiment.
The David Reimer experiment was a wildly unusual, and overall irrelevant, piece of evidence. It proves the malleability of gender and the power of loveual reassignment, but nothing of particular importance to different chemicals in your brain which are inconsistent and different in every living person.
Because he's not making that point. He's trying to say why women might be less interested in tech, not why they are biologically inferior to men in that standard and should be kept out at all costs. In this case, systemizing interests (drive to brown townyze/construct systems) WOULD be better-suited for coding.
He made the point that they might not be interested in jobs as they are currently laid out, which is to say, pandering to the strengths of what he perceives to be male-specific thought patterns. Rather than suggest a reworking of job structures to allow a broader range of thought, effectively becoming more efficient, he simply comes to the conclusion that there are naturally going to be less women in certain positions. I have outlined this previously.
How is pointing out the differences in the male and female brain not biological? I don't want to get into Lord Tony territory but you realize that all the cognitive processes in the brain are just chemical reactions and therefore, if men and women think differently that implies that different chemical processes happen in male/female brains? Plus, this guy went to Harvard and has a Masters degree. He doesn't seem to be the person to just present stuff without fully researching it.
The purely biological, chemical and brain matter distributions have little to nothing to do with the emergence of female thought tendencies. Biological function can alter the efficacy of systematic socialization, but it is the socialization itself that serves as the formative basis for male/female though patterns. Simply put, women are raised to be more empathetic, while men are raised to be more competitive. This is something that can be overcome, not just something we are forced to live with.

I thought you were fine with violence against political enemies?

I mean even commies when they take over end up disposing of people like you and Kimon.
What was that? I can't hear you, my free air conditioning in my commune-provided housing is too loud. Luckily somebody enjoys repairing things and will be by shortly to repair it for me. Thank god he understands that our commune is upheld by mutual cooperation, and has agreed to repair machines when he can, unimpeded by long work hours, in exchange for everything he needs to live comfortably.

>Those darn dirty corporations are oppressing me by employing my ass and letting me buy their products, both of which are entirely optional on my end.

Are you getting paid to be handicapped?
You're right, eating food and obtaining money is totally optional. Why bother with allowing your life to be controlled entirely by the whims of the market acting outside of your interests just to scrape by when you could just die! Why didn't I think of that?

Really? He linked to a single wikipedia page with the broad topic of "biological differences in males and females" without specifying what we should be looking for. He doesn't brown townyze how the different social conditions of young boys and girls changes their mindsets from an early age, or how hightened empathy in any way translates to lessened technical skills. Unsurprisingly, it's because he's completely unqualified in the field of sociology/psychology. His first mistake was noting the differences as "biological" in a half-hearted appeal to his education. Despite his insistence, those studies and brown townyses are, and always will, remain in the domain of psychology and sociology. No amount of skimming on a wikipedia page will make you understand how these results apply in a setting like the one mr. Qualified attempt to shoehorn them in, without formal education. This led to a stuffty, accusatory and amateurish essay, and more importantly, his termination.

If the right really cared about Google firing this guy they'd support things like labor unions and fight against at-will employment laws

Oh yeah

Gizmodo actually edited the "manifesto" (it's a loving memo you dips calm down) to not include any of the graphs, sources or fancy editing. Here's the ACTUAL unedited memo:
https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/3914586/Googles-Ideological-Echo-Chamber.pdf

All of his claims are backed by science and notable sources like The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt. This kid has a Master of Science from Harvard and a BS from the University of Illinois, both degrees SPECIFICALLY in Biology. He knows what the forget he's talking about. Better yet, he was a leftist who had suggested a better way of getting women into tech than using diversity quotas and discriminatory hiring. To say that this guy was a troll who pulled things out of his ass to piss some people off is wrong on all levels.

The best part is that everything he said got proven true not even a day after he was fired. He says that Google has a problem with different opinions, and they fire him, saying that they don't like his opinions. He says women on average tend to be more emotional and on average take more sick days, and a substantial group of women got so offended that they collectively took a sick day. Things couldn't get any better for this guy.

Admittedly before I started to really look into this, I read this article and sided with the author. What do you guys think?
A thinkpiece on medium dot com has more factual depth and relevancy than a stuffty manifesto passed around the Google office by some under-qualified manchild. Interesting.

i dont think you've seen any actual liberals outside of the BLF
or the liberals you've seen/met are all alt-left/sjw type libs...
Liberalism in america is a group mostly comprised of centrists/centrist conservatives and people who otherwise like to complain without committing to any actual policy changes, or anything outside of the status quo for that matter.
