I'm going to college next year, and figured I should learn a language considering technology is what I'm going to do with my life. I'm looking for a nice set of books to buy that anyone here might have experience with.

Learn python or java first, stufftons easier.

You can't get a more shorthand version of English. People from England are English.
Maybe you could say Angles. But that's inaccurate anyway, since strictly speaking the Angles are the Germanic tribe from Denmark. And while they did colonise England, that ancestry is less definitive of the modern English than the Normans are.

Ah alright.

We're always united, in being the most important nations on these Isles.

I agree that if you pay monthly for hulu it's ridiculous how many ads are shoved down your throat, but then just don't pay for it, lol.
