I like Jim Sterling's view on what is a video game.

Basically, anything on an electronic platform that was built to be "played" rather than built to be "productive". Mountain, a video game. Dear Esther, a video game, etc. They're all video games, but since they are we get to judge them like video games and not like untouchable pieces of art that their creators would like us to think about them as. Mountain is a piece of stuff game that allows minimal interaction for basically no reward or progression. Dear Esther lacks interactivity outside of walking straight, and therefore is one of the most boring video games on the planet.

See? If you stop limiting what a video game can be, you can have a whole bunch more fun stuffting on all the video games that truly suck a giant richard.

now you're just straight-up being an ass for no reason
I put thought and actual emotion into trying to convince someone that Self Delete isn't the answer and I got called out for not being sensitive to his world views? No, I'm not being an ass for no reason. I'm being an ass because you decided you wanted to make me an ass.

who else is it supposed to be about? it's not like this situation is someone you know having cancer or something and you're upset about that. being sad about a death is always only about whoever the sad individual is. there's nothing selfish about being sad about losing someone. it's not even possible for selfishness to be a part of that sorta stuffit's nice to try and help and all, but this anti-religion stuff isn't really appropriate imo unless you know exactly what OP's religion is, or lack of it, or whatever, which you could, possibly, but that's not really the vibe I'm getting
like it isn't that hard to come up with something religiously-neutral to say

anyway, not everyone dies in some miserable hospital. like, you could die, doing some rad backflip off a cliff on a mountain with an avalanche behind you. even if it comes down to it, and you have some undoubtedly-terminal disease, you don't have to be stuck in a hospital. just go to some state or country or whatever you gotta do where doctor-assisted Self Delete is legal, and get them to help out. it's not like you'll have to worry about not having money for rent after the travel costs. you don't even have to buy a round-trip ticket. and if your family doesn't agree to it, who cares? it's your life, not theirs. they'd be the selfish ones anyway, getting mad about you not wanting to suffer through countless hospital visits and painful treatment and sitting in a bed all day feeling helpless
Oh I'm sorry.

OP don't kill yourself because some gods consider it a sin and you'll burn eternally in whatever pit they throw bad people in. Unless you don't believe in fairy tales, in which case I will refer you to exhibit 1:

Well loving finally.

Hloamarr fortifies the gained territory and remains pessimistic about continuing forward. Strength behind the lines needs to be grown so we don't spread ourselves too thin. We will continue to skirmish with Aldegar, and take major forts and cities if they become more valuable than the risk, but for the most part we are playing this as a defensive war.

Wow.

1. That guy in the thumbnail looks so loving creepy like he's about to just whip out his richard and start masturbating right there.

2. This guy has no shame, good for him. :)

Don't commit Self Delete because this is all you got. Nevermind that nothing is forever, nevermind that life can be cruel, just think that this is all you got. This life, right now, is all you have, all you ever will have, all anyone has; and for people who didn't get the chance to live their life to the fullest, you owe it to them to live yours for as long as possible.

Have fun, meet people, imagine worlds, create your dreams, help others fulfill their's, ponder life's questions, and above all, remember how lucky you are.

You're a bag of chemicals that grew a consciousness, that can think, say and do anything, that can feel pain and love, happiness and sadness. You're you. The only you. The only you that will ever be. And you owe it to the universe to live your life, to enjoy the small amount of time your cells allow, to dream of the cosmos and move mountains here on Earth.

If you die tomorrow, so what? You won't care, you'll be dead. But the unimaginable grief that you will cause your loved ones, the potential that you will have destroyed with one quick swish of a knife or one long struggle with a rope, the anger that you will bestow upon those around you for not noticing or not doing enough to save you, the absolute confusion your parents will feel: that's not worth it. That's cruelty. That's not love.

Self Delete is a selfish thing, and while it is your choice if you want to live or die, its the ultimate destruction of your world and the people in it. You will have destroyed yourself because of a fleeting desire, a disease of depression that can easily be treated or managed. You will have murdered, you.

Live on, things will get better. People are all around you to help. This blue marble that we're spinning around on is your home, and you should stay as long as you possibly can.

The [MEGATHREAD] Personal Computer thread. Where 790 pages couldn't possibly have any feedback about computer related questions posted by users who most certainly didn't get answers to these questions on this thread. Nope, never.

i think people complain that nobody in that thread answers them or something
Haha ok... You need to be persistent in a megathread, if you're question wasn't answered the day before you ask again.

There's some great guys that browse that thread on a consistent basis, and they basically helped me build my most recent build. Sure outside research was done, but they got the ball rolling and were extremely helpful in figuring out different aspects of finding the right price and what specs are most important.

I just don't understand why people think their own thread will be more helpful then a thread specifically dedicated to answering people's questions and discussing computers...

The PC Megathread should just be stickied and the font should be increased by like 20pts so that people can go somewhere to get this kind of information rather than just making thread after thread of "I'm going to buy stuff for a computer, how2?".

Anyways, I'd suggest buying a new laptop if that's what you're in to. Or build a computer.
