i heard about stuff happening to ecoboost engines. pretty loving stuffty on the manufacturers end if you ask me.

It is pretty stuffty, but it is what it is, warranties exist for this reason!

I finally just picked up my ecobeast from the shop yesterday and I could not be happier.  Drives like an entirely new car, still have to readjust myself back to that much power after 19 days without it.

So my car is now in the shop for an engine manufacturing defect.  They will have to replace either the cylinder heads and/or the long block of the engine.  Some 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engines produced before Oct of 2016 were prone to a fault boost valve which causes massive oil consumption.

I am not thrilled, but it explains why the car stalled on me 5 times in the last two weeks throwing powertrain failure lights and then misfired last Friday.  Now I am stuck with a 2016 loaner fusion for who knows how long

Story of my life after buying my dream car after buying one not even 8 months prior...

It may be -10 F here in MN, but still doesn't mean I won't push my car to it's limits.

Granted, the powertrain has been faulting in this weather 5 times now, stalling me on the side of the road till I restart it :\  Also found some misfires on cylinders 3 and 6 tonight, oh the fun never stops with a car with 22k miles on it

Even with a rushed launch on a stuff tier road, I hit a modest 5.199 0-60 in my Fusion Sport.  Hope to redo it properly on a smooth, flat road and hit an even better number

That is a nice little car(almost sleeper to people who don't know), last time i visited my father that is one of the cars he was contemplating. (ended up with the ecoboost f150 instead lol)
That car is putting down very similar HP/TQ to the wheels as my little 4 cyl. My next car has to be awd lol. Any plans to mod that car?

I haven't quite decided what mods I will do for sure.  It will be quite some time before I do any physical modding to the car as I plan to keep it stock for the most part.  I do plan on doing my stage 1 custom tune to it, same as I did with my previous car.  I have my programmer still and need to get updated files but I want to wait for another 4k miles or so until I have a full understanding of the cars expected stock behaviors down.

It's 0-60 is what I would consider quick, but not as quick as I would like it to be.  Tuning should help it produce more torque for that.

I certainly have, it'd be offensive to the car if I didn't push it at least once or twice

Felt that I was unhappy with my current car, traded it in for the same car but the sport model.  Finally got the twin turbo V6 + continuous damping suspension

Feels good man

Gonna revive this thread with a picture of a KVM rack I built at work.  Our old 8 port one was getting stuffty so I decided to spend some dosh on a 16 port KVM and 325 dollars of accompanying cables..

Please excuse the towers, they are old Z640's that have come out of hospitals as part of complaint systems I have been re-purposing for office/R&D use, they've seen better days.

Not gonna let this thread die so soon!

Had some exhaust done to my car, finally got a pic of the underside since it was done last week

Before for comparison sake

Video for those who want to hear a growly 4 cylinder (actually sounds really loving awesome, couldn't be happier with it)

Decided to continue working on my world which has my majestic nuclear power plant on it.  over 2 years on this world, since January 5th 2016 (don't worry that I know that so specifically..), loving hell that is a long consistent time to one specific world/build.

Added a new 3000 meter train bridge between the main site and some off-site thing I built, I honestly have no idea what I am adding to it at this point, here is some update progress pictures I guess.

I'll someday get around to finishing a video walk through of the non-sense that I have going on, it's way more than it needs to be in Minecraft lmao
