Off Topic / Aquired Some New Technology Today....
« on: April 25, 2013, 09:10:24 PM »
Pretty sweet stuff I got here now, first up is my new phone case compared to my old one.  Both are battery cases for my iPhone 4, the obviously battered case is a year and half old.

The other technology is two black magic intensity shuttles, these ones are for work not play D:

For those not knowing what these do, they are built for live streaming video/recording, work exact same way as a Hauppauge HD PVR would, but, these are able to stream the video at a rate the USB/Thunderbolt cables can support.

Off Topic / So my mom found this old painting
« on: February 09, 2013, 01:09:39 PM »
She was working on a project to make her own bulletin board, and discovered this behind an old painting her dad gave her before he passed away back in 2000.

We don't know who made it or what it is even.

Click for full size image to zoom in or whatever

Anyone think they might know something about it?

Off Topic / So my schools AD went to jail over winter break...
« on: January 03, 2013, 01:58:33 PM »
So my high schools ad went to jail after pleading guilty to a DWI. This has been spreading today in school like a wildfire.

Quote for those lazy:

The original story has been updated to include information and a statement released by the Lakeville Area Public School District, and Bob Ertl.

The athletic and activities director at Lakeville North High School has pleaded guilty to drunken driving after he was arrested with a blood-alcohol content of .13 percent.

Robert Lorenz Ertl, 47, of Northfield, pleaded guilty Dec. 20 to gross-misdemeanor DWI. Dakota County District Judge Mary Theisen immediately sentenced him to one year in jail, stayed for two years, along with two years of supervised probation, 10 days of electronic home monitoring, $615 in fines and court fees and 240 hours of community service.

Ertl also was ordered to undergo a chemical evaluation and to abstain from alcohol and drugs. During his probation, he was ordered to have no driver’s license violations and no alcohol-related offenses.

According to a statement made by the Lakeville Area Public School District, Ertl informed Superintendent Dr. Lisa Snyder and Lakeville North Principal Marne Berkvam of the incident in June, shortly after it occurred.

"The Lakeville Schools’ administration fully supports Mr. Ertl and is confident that he will continue to provide positive leadership to our staff, students, and athletes," the statement said.

In the statement released by the district, Ertl said he's taking actions to get his life in order.

"I entered treatment seven months ago and have been sober since. I informed my supervisors about the issues when I began treatment and I am sorry and apologize to the district and the community for the negative impact this may have on our district," Ertl said.

According to the criminal complaint, a Lakeville police officer on routine patrol June 7 drove past Babe’s Sports Bar three times, and each time saw a man sitting in the driver’s seat of a green Jeep in the bar’s parking lot.

At 11:30 p.m., the officer saw the Jeep make a “very slow” left turn from northbound Hughes Avenue onto 206th Street West. The driver, later identified as Ertl, came to a stop at a dead end, turned off the Jeep’s headlights and then turned them back on.

The officer pulled up behind Ertl’s Jeep and approached the vehicle. Ertl told him that he had stopped to make a phone call because he didn’t think he should be driving.

While he was speaking with Ertl, the officer smelled a “very strong odor” of alcohol, and noted that Ertl’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and his speech slurred. Ertl admitted that he had had “a few drinks” at Babe’s that evening.

Ertl was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily. He provided a sample for a preliminary breath test, which he also failed, according to the complaint.

Ertl was arrested and taken to the Lakeville police station, where he provided another sample for a breath test. Those results showed a blood-alcohol level of .13 percent 45 minutes after his arrest.

It wasn’t Ertl’s first drunken-driving arrest. In 2008, he was charged with DWI and careless driving, but under the terms of a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty only to careless driving and was sentenced to one year of supervised probation and 40 hours of community service.

However, because that was a DWI-related offense, the latest charge was a gross misdemeanor.

Off Topic / Will this adapter work for my monitor?
« on: November 30, 2012, 09:04:19 PM »
I have an ASUS tf300t tablet and I wanted to use its micro HDMI out to DVI-D on my AOC e2243Fwk monitor.  I wanted to be sure both are compatible with a nice resolution.

Cable I found:

http://www.amazon.com/Aftermarket-Product-Converter-Universal-Transformer/dp/B008J7E69C

Monitor specs:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160061

Let me know if you guys think it'll work effectively, or if I should just go with a micro HDMI to VGA cable and suffer with a 4:3 resolution.

Suggestions & Requests / Duplicator Cube
« on: November 25, 2012, 05:06:58 PM »
We need a cube that can be hovered over a build and be used to select all the bricks in order to move it.

For example:

I want to bring this house that's in the air down to the ground and work on it and the missing bricks.  But, because there are so many bricks missing it's impossible to do so.  You could try replacing all those bricks but that would take more time and that would only be to dupe it down and move it into place.

When you try to dupe it down you only get a part of the house.

Why not make a cube that will be able to ghost over the area you want duplicated and hit enter to select it and then move that cube down and hit enter again to place it.  Doesn't have to be binded that way but whatever way will make it work can do.

Tell me what you guys think and if someone wants to do it, they should.

Off Topic / A little montage I created
« on: October 06, 2012, 10:03:10 PM »
As the title depicts, I spent 2 and a half weeks creating a TDU2 montage.  That took so long because I can work up to 50 hours in two weeks while balancing high school in the mix.  So check it out and give me feedback on what I can do better for a future video.

General Discussion / Prison Escape V3 OPEN
« on: August 18, 2012, 03:19:37 PM »
Welcome back to Prison Escape V3.

Rules are limited to change at any time and enforced at any time given by the administration team.  Follow them and we shouldn't have any issues.

Quote
Rules that are mainly applicable to guards:

1) No Killing prisoners until you ask them to put the gun away or leave the area.

2) No Killing unless they do not listen to you (give them a 10 second warning before shooting) or are blocking a zone.

3) No killing unless they attack you or have a record of killing other guards in the current round.  Once mini-game resets records of past killings reset.

4) No killing if you are in the vent system with a prisoner.

5) No camping areas for extended periods of time; exceptions for the newly built watch tower though are in place.

6) If a prisoner drops a weapon in front of a guard they are allowed to leave without being shot as they surrendered that weapon.

7) Bans/kicks will result from the periods of rule breaking.

8) Guards are allowed to kill prisoners outside of prison in parking lot and delivery bay areas immediately if prisoner is shooting or holding a weapon.
