Gallery / Swat725's Stadium Project- Hockey Arena (Image Heavy)
« on: June 15, 2012, 11:37:55 PM »
This stadium project was undertaken by swat in the summer of 2010, but had a large break until recently when he picked up on the project to continue along on it.  This was initially started by inspiration from real life stadiums such as:  Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, and Xcel Energy Center.  Now I am sure you people are bored of background information and a magazine article point of view on it but on-wards to the pictures.

Current brickcount sits a comfortable:

Major note:  As of the moment this stadium is WIP and the side bowl's will be done at a later time.

Click images for full resolution if you would like it as a desktop

Thank you for taking the time to view all those pictures.

Ratings and constructive criticism are allowed here.  Special thanks to Swat725 for allowing me to post this thread for him since I was the one to supply all the pictures.

Off Topic / Need help to know if I can bring this to VGA
« on: May 19, 2012, 02:07:33 PM »
See, I have been trying for about a week now and almost 120 dollars later, yes I know I could have just bought a LCD-TV display by this time but I am stubborn.  Could I bring this DVI-I male to a DVI-I female to VGA Male adapter from component video to my pc monitor?  Also side note, I know it is working properly because I have split the audio off the component out cables to my computer speakers through a few adapters and I can hear it just fine and when I launch my arcsoft showbiz I can see the picture at 720p, just not on my monitor so I am thinking its the DVI input.  Please help, would like to purchase the adapter today at radioshack or wherever the forget I have to go to get it done.

Pictures:

Component in/out cable for monitors

Monitor inputs, the DVI port is DVI-D, I have an adapter already to bring DVI-I to DVI-D but no such luck.

Barrel adapters for component in from my HD PVR

Back of my PVR with my xbox 360 input cables and output component cables.

Hello all, I am making this thread to show my 3 years or so worth of houses I have built and finished and or just left incomplete and that will never be brought back to life ever.  Most have no interior to a little bit but never FULLY finished all the way through to each room.  I am only posting exterior pictures as with a few interior of some take around 85 pictures so I would rather hold that off.

Disclaimer:  Almost all of these builds are missing bricks minor to severe so they are not up to speed what not with all the addons I have changed.

This was my first ever house dated at 4-5-09

This one is what I like to call pizza hut junior, you'll get this at the next house.

Referring back to the house above this, this is the pizza hut house.  It isn't really called that but its a nickname I gave it.

This is one of my stufftier ones in my opinion.  I built it at nooblet 2.0's city rp in the bedroom I know that for sure.

Then along came this strange thing.

I eventually expanded myself to start aiming for more realism and eventually got this box.

I did on that same server move to a beach house with was right down the street from the pizza hut house.  All 3 were built on the same server.

Then I really decided to take it to the next level.  I built one of my most infamous houses all my friends know.

My next house is one I worked with Custard to build.  It will remain in its empty grave.

At that same point in time I moved onto a christmas style mountain house.

Then I built this box house as a test run for basement garage types.  I only made the kitchen furnished thats it.  Except for a bed.

On one of my city rps that I ran for a month as a test run to suburbful rp, was where I built these next 2 homes.  The first one is a southern plain style home.

This second one is my house in real life not entirely accurate in some places but the front is spot on except for the wall on right side of front door.  I am planning to revive this house and accurately recreate it.

Then suburbful rp came out with its successor to the beta city deemed with the name Derpington or Laggington as most people will call it.

And as my final installment to this thread as I can put many many more in but I just do not feel the need to, is a perfect recreation all from memory me and my cousin built of my grandmas house in iowa.  Note this house is unfinished but it will be as soon as me and my cousin can connect and finish it.  We did this much progress in less than a week.  It will include full detail and I will make it have it's own separate thread when it is completed.

General Discussion / Surburb's Prison Escape V3 (Semi-Image Heavy)
« on: April 08, 2012, 11:06:29 PM »
Hello all, this is my previous prison escape v2 but with majorly obvious renovations and completely redone zones.

Rules that are mainly applicable to guards:

1) No Killing prisoners until you ask them to put the gun away or leave the area.

2) No Killing unless they do not listen to you (give them a 10 second warning before shooting) or are blocking a zone.

3) No killing unless they attack you or have a record of killing other guards in the current round.  Once mini-game resets records of past killings reset.

4) No killing if you are in the vent system with a prisoner.

5) No camping areas for extended periods of time; exceptions for the newly built watch tower though are in place.

6) If a prisoner drops a weapon in front of a guard they are allowed to leave without being shot as they surrendered that weapon.

7) Bans/kicks will result from the periods of rule breaking.

8) Guards are allowed to kill prisoners outside of prison in parking lot and delivery bay areas immediately if prisoner is shooting or holding a weapon.

Information about the server:

Hosting tonight and into Monday during the day with dedicated minigame which I do hope does not fail on me along with default minigame on auto sort with unlimited lives until one prisoner escapes.  Gate can be open by any person who wields a key.  Minigame reset console is Prisoner only control.  Discuss here any certain information regarding the server or suggetions.

I am having a dilema today on a new tv purchase. I have a 27 inch tube tv now but its an energy whore and not hd. I can either wait to october and let my mom buy me a 32 inch flatscreen. Downside is that it would only be 720p. I could get one that is led 1080p for 180 instead of a free 32 720p one. I hve 92.50 off at bestbuy so ya. I don't really enjoy a huge tv 24 I could live with.

I did a quick upload test to see what my HD PVR I bought this xmas is really capable of.  Clip is old but still and at the end it lags you see but that is just my xbox trying to load BF3.  I just took the file itself as I had no desire to put it through Sony Vegas or any other editing program for that matter.

Off Topic / Apparently PIPA/SOPA has been shelved indefinitely

These days pirating music or watching television online are commonplace to many Americans. MediaFire, a website meant for file and image sharing is also frequently used for sharing MP3 files that cost money to for companies to produce and for consumers to purchase.

In October 2011, the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) was introduced to the House of Representatives. In May 2011 the Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act of 2011 (PIPA) was introduced to the Senate.

The main purpose of SOPA and PIPA is to prevent websites from posting copyrighted material. If passed, the bills would allow the government to disable links to pirated material, and prosecute people who post pirated material online. For example, according to a January 12th CNN report, posting ten pieces of pirated music could lead to five years in prison.

The new laws would also allow copyright holders, like music companies or movie companies, to sue any websites that post pirated materials.

Many people feel that these bills are completely unnecessary because musicians and movie stars are not suffering, even though people pirate music and movie clips every day.

“Hollywood and the record labels, the book publishers, have been operating like this for years. They make so much money already, they make billions of dollars a year,” senior Kenji Takada said.

If examined a little closer, it is revealed that SOPA and PIPA, to put it simply, could censor the entire Internet.

Websites like Tumblr, Wikipedia, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter are all places users can post content that they do not own. Simply posting a link on your Facebook profile to a YouTube video that was posted by a user who took the video from another person could be considered piracy. Under SOPA and PIPA that is considered a crime.

To protest SOPA and PIPA on January 18th Wikipedia, Reddit, Craigslist, Boing Boing, and many others participated in a blackout to protest SOPA and PIPA.

Rather than serving their usual purposes, the blacked-out sites featured various messages explaining that SOPA and PIPA could be used to censor any website that has content owned by the massive corporations that produce music and movies.

“People said blacking out was just a gimmick. The internet is huge, Wikipedia being gone…that would be impossible,” Takada said.

Before the blackout SOPA and PIPA had 80 supporters and 31 opponents in Congress, and after there were 65 supporters and 101 opponents.

The vote to pass SOPA and PIPA, originally scheduled for January 24, 2012, has been postponed indefinitely.

« on: January 04, 2012, 09:43:24 PM »
Don't know if this goes in games but it really is just a video of a lobby I was in on mw3 tonight lol.  Also quality may be low due to the fact my PVR won't go HD unless my tv is HD which is stupid but oh well it still looks good nonetheless.
