"EA senior director of corporate communications John Reseburg has told VentureBeat. “Yes, we’re discontinuing Online Pass. None of our new EA titles will include that feature.”

Interestingly, Reseburg claims the decision is based on consumer feedback. “Initially launched as an effort to package a full menu of online content and services, many players didn’t respond to the format. We’ve listened to the feedback and decided to do away with it moving forward.”"

Off Topic / Just ordered a KWA MK23 SOCOM (and just got other stuff)

Yes that gun from Metal Gear Solid and stuff



Also got bought a magazine with it. This gun wrecks, it fires 360-380 fps (yes thats just a gas pistol and fires harder than most AEG's). I've wanted a gas pistol for a while and I jsut got the money to grab one, and it was a tough decision between a USP .45 Tactical and this.

Also I received my order from evike for my MagPul MOE Vertical Grip and NCSTAR Cantilever scope mount:



KWA and MagPul prices are highway robbery, but forget is their material and quality great. Its almost justified.

Games / RaiderZ: a "Monster Hunter" MMO

So I've been playing RaiderZ for almost two months now (including Closed Beta), and wanted to show you guys how awesome this game is.

COMBAT
Its combat system is awesome, it includes real time combat with actual swinging arcs and hit boxes, much like TERA. You can dodge and block in this as well, which allows for some interesting tactics of avoidance. SO THIS IS NOT A POINT AND CLICK GAME LIKE WoW. Here, look at this video for some good stuff:

The guy cant dodge for stuff, but you get the idea.

CLASSES
There are four classes (two more coming next year... hopefully?), which are Defender, Berserker, Cleric, and Sorcerer.

Defender
This class is the tank of the group, as you probably could have guessed. "This style focuses on defense-increasing skills and debuffing skills. Using skills from this tree will be beneficial to players who wish to tank monsters."

Berserker
This guy is the heavy hitting, mega-sword wielding, slow guy. "This style deals heavy damage, but lacks speed and agility. Skills from this style are able to knock down opponents."

Cleric
The healer, derp. "This style can deal damage and act as healing support. Holy Magic skills are ranged, so players utilizing this style are advised to distance themselves from the epic monsters."

Sorcerer
Super OP class I hate it. "This style focuses on ice and fire damage. Like the Cleric Style, the Socerer Style has a series of ranged attacks. Players using skills from this style will be able to deal high damage from a safe distance."

Along with these classes, at level 10 you can mix and match classes so you can create abominations like the Spellsword and Paladin.

I forgot to mention it's a Free to Play MMO, and has MTX, but there are zero items which are Pay to Win. But just because its Free to Play doesnt mean the game is limit. Not at all, you can play the entire game (all 35 levels, more content coming soon) without paying a cent. Items on the MTX store are things like 10% exp rates, or enchanting boosters (it even fails sometimes, to give you an idea its not P2W).

Yeah I feel this is all this game needs in description for you to pick this up now, because this game is super loving fun. Any questions, and advice as to what to add to OP is greatly appreciated.

I've noticed, that seeming every topic has some kind of descrepancy, even if it would seem to benefit all, or not need argument. Is there nothing this forum can all agree upon or not hate on? Or are we doomed to a paradigm of loathing?

Help / CCC Additional Options not working

Ive had this problem not only for Blockland, but I want to address this here. I have my Catalyst Control Center trying to max out settings for BL, yet anti-aliasing is horrid in the game, and not as spectacular as I had had it before I got my new computer. YES, my drivers are up to date. I figure it might be a setting I have on that I forgot to uncheck.

Seems silly maybe? No I think this would be really cool. Basically I'm looking for people with musical talents to collaborate with me in making a song about V21. I already have some cool riffs and rhythms down, but would love more input.

What I'm looking for:

Singer (maybe, it depends)
Drummer
Another guitarist
Programmer (for synth possibly)

Deciding wether or not to call it "1682", or "Revision" or something to those likes.

Help / Alternate download location instead of My Documents?

I just got a new computer and I have an SSD for mostly vital systems like the OS, and another hard drive for everything else, like games. I want to be able to move the main files for Blockland over to the respective area I want them in, on my other drive. Every time I click the launcher, it installs BL onto the SSD My Documents, but I want it on my Mechanical Drive. Any solutions? Or am I stuck with having it only on my SSD...
