He probably took the colours straight from the model.
Don't know what you mean by "the model", but assuming you mean the new vegas model then:

you are very wrong.

You can't use textures in blockland weaponry.
Yes you can, it has been done and it looked fine.

And i did say "cartoonish" so that it would fit in with the blockland style.

your wood colors are too yellow- and greeny, you need more deep brown colors.
Would be interesting to see someone make a cartoonish wood texture though.

Other than that, I love the style!

3)I didn't add depth to the lens because I have a polygon quota to abid by, if I stray from it the models look out of place. I think I'll just texture it to have a grey outline and see if that works

You shouldn't bitch about poly count as long as you keep the unnecessary polys to a minimum and keep the style you want. You could very well have a good "blocky" model (item) that has over 500 polys.

-snip-

is that like, something from neon genesis evangelion?

he's right about the stock but keep it exactly as thick as it is currently

maybe shorten it a little on both ends

No, the gun is so thick it's clipping through the hand on the sides, for a "default" look, it should at least fit perfectly or a little smaller than the palm of the hand.

honestly, I don't know why fat guns are so popular and thought to be "default style" when not even the default models are that fat. The default models are realistically (compared to the blockhead ofc) big, just lower poly than it normally would be.
now, don't look at my models and qualify my arguments invalid, that would just be stupid.

lol
welllll I think I end with that project..Now how about to make a new playertype?
Any ideas?

A darksouls-ish medieval character would be cool, with kind of heavy and fluid movement animations, to go with the Dueling Weapons

God that would be sweet

that fact you're getting a boner from a low poly model is questionable.

That shiny thing is so weird, and forgets up the look of the actual model imo :/
Good model otherwise though

they look like daggers not swords

Well you could try making the blade longer and/or wider

Huh, can't believe i didn't notice xD

I'd go for the 1st one, though IMO the handle is a bit big for the blade.

Yeah, I saw that, but if I made the handle thinner, then it would not fit in the blockhead's hands, and if I made the blade thicker, the blade would be too thick, and I hate overly thick blades :/

I got no feedback on my hilt so i had to try a bunch of stuff,

Sword Alternate 1 (View in 3D)

Sword Alternate 2 (View in 3D)

Sword Alternate 3 (View in 3D)

Sword Alternate 4 (View in 3D)

They all are similar, but have slight differences. which one do you prefer?

I'd say have more cube leaves so that it doesn't look so plain in comparison
