Bump, modpack requests are now open, again to either replace this one or to put on a separate one.
There are lots of options so instead of making lots of poll options simply leave a reply on which one you want and the votes will be tallied.

Pcsx2 is nowhere near perfect, there are tons of bugs and all the lag that occurs on it doesn't make any sense
Nowhere near perfect. Many games have shadow problems, Ratchet and clank is covered in mipmapping problems, jak and daxter have no eyes, Snake eater has a ton of problems.
Maybe a bit of a bold statement but to be honest but it was fine for the games I played, just my opinion. The lag was definetely there but it was over a year ago, when I had a crappy althon x2 so that might have to do with it.

I would go with keeping your xbox OP. May seem like a stupid idea at first but ps2 emulation is near perfect now, and there isn't an emulator for the original xbox so if you want to play games for it then you need the original hardware. Plus, you can do some tinkering and add XBMC to your xbox and make it a media center if you want.

Is there any sort of disadvantage when using a Forge server versus Vanilla Minecraft server? I'm planning on hosting for my friends, and I want to know if I should be concerned. I already know they don't need a client.
There's almost no advantage to using forge if it's going to be vanilla. If you want stuff like performance improvements and plugins then use something like bukkit, spigot, or even project rainbow.

I just went with the defaults, and while doing so missed some stuff like enabling the BoP world type etc. I don't know if changing it would work at this point unless we restarted the map.

I'm actually hosting lando's pack for him right now! Transferring the old map (or any part of it) is pretty much impossible, so we're starting anew.
It's 24/7 and on a dedicated server, here's the specs are in this post (to summarize, it's good).

Get the modpack (copy/paste this into the search bar of the technic launcher) -

I've recently learned about the death of Bukkit due to a DMCA filed for part of its code. I want to get back into making my own modifications for Minecraft, what is the best platform for doing so now?
Just use spigot.

I'm hosting a test server to see if I should host servers for BLF in the future. I host minecraft servers regularly but have never hosted modded for more than a few people so this ought to be interesting.

The IP is 142.4.214.53:30000 (mind the port)
It's hosting the 'space' version of tekkit (not lite or classic). Suggestions for modpacks welcome.

Last time it went on sale rockstar marked up the price to where it would be $60 anyway (also including cash cards, making it non-refundable), so probably never.

Joined for a minute but no one was there, minus the bot. If anyone wants to play then post I guess, because I could just make a singleplayer server with a bot instead and have no ping disadvantage.
