So, my 16th birthday is coming up this month (woot woot), and I'm asking for a laptop that costs a mere $400. My parents have already told me they absolutely will not get it for me. I even offered, hell, I want to pay for half of it. But no. They want to be a couple selfish douche bags and say that they want to get a "family computer", which I already know they'll divide and conquer as theirs, so it'll be the good ol', "Get off the computer! I need to use it, it's not yours anyway!" to which I respond with "But you said it's a 'family' computer." and they'll say something along the lines of "When the hell did we say that? We NEVER said that, now get off!"

What the forget. This is bullstuff. I don't even want to play games on the one I'm asking for, I need it for school. But no, they don't want me to have my own little "netbook", as my dad calls it, because they think I'll start looking up research, which I never have and never will do. What selfish asshats.

Modification Help / Rocket mounting script - possible?

So, I'm making the rocket launcher from Iron Man. The one that he shoots at the tank with the tinyass rocket that explodes a couple seconds later? Yeah that one. I was wondering if a script would be possible that, when the rocket collides with the instance of the player object, it could mount onto it, or "stick" to it. Wherever the player moved, the rocket would move with it. Is this possible? It sounds possible. And also, if it is possible, could I have a small (not entire) example of a script that would do this, seeing as I'm fairly new to scripting and have absolutely no idea how to do this?

Suggestions & Requests / Clientside F8/spy script

No, I am not requesting this, I am requesting that there be a script that renders these so-called "F8/spy scripts" unusable. I have had at least 5 people join my server and say that they have it, and use it, and I'm sure many others have joined and used it, but just not told me about it. This concerns me because #1, the "Drop Camera at Player" and "Drop Player at Camera" functions are supposed to be admin-only, and #2, if they are supposed to be admin-only, then there should be a script to counteract this because non-admins should not be able to do this. Is this possible, and did I arise the issue soon enough to have a counteracting script in v13 of Blockland?

Modification Help / First Add-On, should I post?

I know, I know, I shouldn't post my first Add-On. But, after long discussion between myself and my friend who is helping with it, we have come to the conclusion that we should post it. But, I still want others' opinions.

General stuff:
-Not quite a simple gun edit, we are making a brand new model from scratch
-Has some potential to be pretty useful
-Model will be very good, but don't judge, it's our first model (but we think it's pretty dang good)
-Has not yet been made (yes, I've searched the forums many times)

I don't really want to disclose what, exactly, it is out of concern that another, more advanced Add-On maker will take my idea, but if disclosure is requested strongly enough, I will most likely reveal what it is.

Modification Help / Testing Add-On in-game

First of all, I wasn't sure whether to put this in Coding Help, or the normal Help section, so I went with my first decision.

Now on to my question. I know there is a way to test your Add-Ons in-game, and I know that you use this:

function reexecGun(){exec("Add-Ons/Weapon_Gun/server.cs");}

to do it. But, what I'm wondering is, what in that line of code do I change? I have a general idea of what to change, I just want to be sure. I already tried entering this in my console (modified to fit my Add-On, of course), but when I pressed Enter, it said "Syntax error in input." I know what that means, I'm just wondering what I did wrong and how I can fix it. Thanks.

Hey, I'm kinda new, not really, but I was wondering how to program events. I would really like to know the one where you plant a brick and then touch it and it makes an explosion. Step-by-step instructions would be much appreciated.
