yeah but Tor is not a very fast browser.
It's like, IE slow.

Pretty much all routers allow you to spoof your MAC address.

I know, but the subject wasn't on MAC spoofing. I was just telling him what a MAC address was.

Also, yeah, not sure why anyone would DDoS a home PC. Not like you'll get anywhere or prove anything...
It's just more effective (and just as illegal) to DDoS a public domain because you forget over a stuff load of people at once.

I think you mean MAC Address filtering; i.e. you make a list of MAC Addresses allowed on your network and it prevents non-matching mac addresses from connecting to your network.

However, that is still irrelevant.

I have read this:

"Log into your router > find your mac address (should look like this )> change one of the numbers to another number > save your settings and restart your modem

Don't change your mac address too many times per day as it might cause some problems with your ISP but this should change your IP making it impossible for the DDoSer to target you unless he/she gets your new IP"

A mac address is a physical address of any digital device; even your smart phone has a mac address.
They are pre-set by the manufacturer.
