Off Topic / Sony Vegas trial won't render right

Whenever I slow down a clip, it plays correctly in the preview, but when I render it it doesn't slow down. Any of you know how to fix this?

Hi. My dad is kind of handicapped, and he set a password for the admin account on this laptop several months ago without writing it down. Of course now he has no goddamn clue what it was. Is there any way I can reset a password without having to use a loving boot disk or any technobabble stuff like that?

Gallery / Hellbringer Mech

I made this (and a couple other mechs) a while ago at Tom's server, but I don't think I ever made a thread for them. Well I got this one and touched it up a bit and now I think it's worthy of its' own thread.
So I combined the weapons of this with the general style of this and I got this:
Here's the roosterpit.
Button in the middle fires the missiles and the button on the right fires the CLBX10s. The one on the left is gonna fire the x-pulse lasers once I get it evented.
It's also got an ejector seat, in case anything bad happens
Just press the button and poof

So yeah. I guess if I also event the Summoner, Awesome, and Catapult, I'll put them here too.

This isn't necessarily a suggestion or request, but I was just curious as to if it is possible to make a vehicle with animated treads. I haven't seen any, so my assumption is that they wouldn't work, but has anyone ever tried?

Off Topic / Help with a Guardsman costume

So at my school we have this Senior Halloween thing where all the seniors get dressed up in a costume and come to school in it. I was thinking I would do something like this:
I already know what I'm doing for the clothes and helmet (I already have the pants, belt, and boots, i'd use this for the shirt, and butcher and repaint a batting helmet for the helmet) but I'm not sure what I should do for the chestplate and shoulder pads. I was thinking something like cutting it out of styrofoam and painting over it, but I can't really find anywhere to buy a decently sized chunk of styrofoam from.
If you know a (preferably on the cheap side) alternative method or where I can get a block of styrofoam large enough to make into a chestplate and shoulderpads, that would be much appreciated.

For those of you that don't know what Audiosurf is, come out from under that rock and hear me out. Audiosurf is a game that creates tracks based off of a sound file you load into it. There are several different "characters" (read: gamemodes) but the most common one you'll see people playing on youtube is Mono. The other characters vary in playstyles and are just pretty boring in my opinion, so I'm just going to elaborate on mono mode.
Mono is simply grab the colored blocks, avoid the grays. Uphill parts come at slower parts of the song, while downhill parts happen when it's getting intense. Simple enough, right? Depends on the song. Some songs are slow and unchallenging, even on Iron Mode. If that's the case, add tags. The tags I most often use are [as-steep] and [as-bankcam] but there are others. There's a lot, so I'll just link to them here.

and bankcam made it look like THIS. (Note: the track going sideways is not norma;)
To make tags, right click the .mp3 file and go to "details". Under Title, add your tags.
