This is actually the biggest crime.
nah, the biggest crime is when settlements come under attack by enemies exclusively wielding missile launchers

(replaces T-60, but hey. It's a new model set) Combat Power Armor
Man, T60 wasnt even that great to begin with so I don't even think replacing it could be considered a loss.
Not to sound like a sperglord but the way it was introduced didn't sit right with me. Established lore always seemed to say that the T51 was the pinnacle of pre-war personal protection, being the standard issue for the army and stuff, and then in clunks a new suit of "totally not T45 you guys". Boasting a radical departure from the preceding suit's design, with totally new features such as... rearranged chest handles. And taller pauldrons, I guess? And stompier feeties. Couldn't it have just been a post-war brotherhood modification to the T45 or something? I know they're all admech-tier power-greaves-on-head-rebooted when it comes to technology, but it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch for them to have made some minor adjustments to the T45 over the years, eventually resulting in what's functionally a "new" suit.

don't take this as a harsh criticism of the game i'm probably just salty because i like how t51 looks more and wish the gate guards at the beginning of the game were wearing it instead

The enemy armor continues to fall back towards the city, and Tippy's old crew begins carefully negotiating the most damaged part of the bridge. Neither group currently knows about the other's presence, and they are headed straight for each other. Contact between the two is imminent, though from the looks of things, the NAUC forces will likely at least be past the bridge midpoint by the time they spot each other.

Tippy's pals reach the bridge and begin crossing. A few miles down the road, enemy armor pops up on your HUD, retreating down the highway from the allied advance.

hate to break it to you but settlement merchants make peanuts in terms of caps. i have like 5 shops and i get around 50 caps a day.
dang
Also, do linked settlements share food/water? I tried linking Red Rocket and Sanctuary Hills, but the former's food/water level in the workshop view is still the same as it was (4 food, 9 water or something) before it was linked to the latter (a hell of a lot more than 4/9).

I see that it says certain settlement shops "raise income based on population" but where does the raised income actually go to? Asking the merchant "how's it going" just has them say "it's all good bruh" with no followup, and it isn't in their trade inventory.

This was also a thing in New Vegas
Never forget the time a handful of Great Khans took a few NCR soldiers hostage for 12 years. How did they even get food and drink while they were blockaded in there for so long? Shouldnt they have starved to death or died of thirst after a while? Or wouldn't they have shot the hostages eventually after not getting what they wanted? Man, New Vegas loving sucks, what a stuffty awful game.

The maglev dirigible punches straight through the southern span and plummets into the water below, showing the area with debris and creating quite a spectacle. Richard raises his visor and does a low 'n slow flyby of the bridge to inspect the damage.

"It looks like the northern span of the bridge is still intact, but I can't tell if it's safe."

Richard checks the nav display and searches for the next nearest bridge leading north.
The next nearest bridge is at least a mile away.

Bell scouts out the bridge, from west (?) to east now that the skies are clear.
Around the middle of the bridge, the two eastbound lanes abruptly end where the cruiser crashed through them. The westbound side is still partially intact, at the very least wide enough for the tanks to drive across as long as they go it single-file.

Gus pulls back on the stick, getting out of the buildings. He turns around and dives down the precarious route again, sights set on the last IFV.
Ordinarily ending your first run and beginning your next would require a turn between the two, but in the interest of time I'll let this one happen immediately.

PAK FA base EV 78
No piloting bonuses or penalties
Medium Size provides penalty of 0
Test taken at EV 78
Roll: 24 - Success
Roll granted by supermaneuverable: 73 - Success
Test passed

Gus finishes off the last IFV in one group, and the tanks wipe out the other.
: Looks clear enough from here, now let's get the hell out. How's that bridge looking?

Gus continues the perilous weaving between buildings to get a dual LCP shot on an IFV.
PAK FA base EV 78
No piloting bonuses or penalties
Medium Size provides penalty of 0
Test taken at EV 78
Roll: 63 - Success
Roll granted by supermaneuverable: 19 - Success
Test passed

Tippy focuses in and dives in again gunning for the leading IFV, the cannons heavy thump rattles through her roosterpit.
Berkut base EV 85
No piloting bonuses or penalties
Large Size provides penalty of 10
Test taken at EV 75
Roll: 89 - Failure
Roll granted by supermaneuverable: 33 - Success
Test passed

One after the other, you dive on the hapless armored vehicles and tear them apart.

"stuff, I'll try to slow the descent."

Bell continues her run, decreasing her altitude and firing off another three AGMs at the former central array, which she hopes will help slow down the cruiser's fall slightly. (or blast apart the ship, whichever one works.)
The missiles neither destroy the cruiser nor slow it down, and it crashes down through the bridge and into the river, making two out of the four lanes inaccessible.
: Well that certainly complicates things, but thanks anyway, I think. Someone let us know if enough bridge is left for us to get back across.

Jaakko apologizes to Yukamo about the dogs' surprise appearance.
Yukamo reluctantly accepts Jaakko's apology.

Also, future reference, and I suppose I should put this in the OP as well: The default squad size for future missions will be 5, first come first served. Big things like this drag on too long if I'm not prepared to handle that many players.

Gus breaks off and heads towards the ground battle, attempting not to hit any buildings on the way there.
You are now in range of the ground battle.

I pull off of the road and vow to never ever loving do that again.
No significant ground fire is directed your way, but I mean you did sort of leave the task unfinished.

Bell blasts away at the cruiser's port levitation array with three AGMs.
Gravity once again reigns supreme as the cruiser starts dropping onto the bridge.

One of the IFVs halts briefly to launch a missile at the allied position, missing its mark only because the allied crew saw it coming and threw it in reverse just before it was too late.

I blast down the street with the GAUs, trying to avoid unnecessary damage.
Razorback base EV 52
No piloting bonuses or penalties
Very Large Size provides penalty of 20
Test taken at EV 32
Roll: 25 - Success
Test passed

Miraculously, you don't smack into the walls, instead destroying one tank and damaging the others with your spread of cannonfire.

3 AGMs on starboard engine, 2 on middle engine.
I launch 1 rgm at both engines.
Richard fires another shot with the beam weapons, this time at cruiser 2's port engine.
With levitation capabilities at 50%, and next to no defenses left, the second cruiser begins its evacuation as well.

Bell lines up a run on Cruiser 1
The cruiser is wholly unable to do anything to prevent this.

Tippy swallows her temptation to resort to missiles for fear of collateral damage and goes in for another run with her gun
You immediately begin setting up for your next run.

One of the allied tanks suffers a penetrating hit to the turret from an ATGM, marked by jets of flame shooting out just about any opening they can find.
: Damn it, looks like they've finally grown a pair!

Taking advantage of the brief moment of confusion, a trio of IFVs begin advancing down a separate street towards the pinned tankers.

i just want to melt faces
