Tippy will later return to her quarters to find them tidied the forget up by her robot roomkeeper.

I mean no disrespect, its just when Nozoner made the map, he filled in all the filler countries (i.e, all the ones that aren't the big 5) with Earth.0 countries. I never participated or paid attention to any Earth.0 threads, so I didn't catch on that they were other peoples' things until much later. If I could wind back time, I'd go change all of them to original names.

iirc there was a picture that I think xk posted that had a guy's face imposed on an nuclear blast, with the caption "remember that when it happens, you did nothing, and for that reason, it's your fault," on it. I've been looking around for that picture or something similar.

The problem is this world hasn't had a Riddler, really. It's seen its fair share of reprehensible warlords (most recently in the incredibly unstable region around Kintharia, you can think of that place as the worst of the post-Yugoslavia clusterforget) but nobody's really attempted large scale genocide.

wouldn't that put the AWACS as a high priority for the sabres or give away it's position?

It would give away its existence, but not its position. The Huits would have to find its position themselves. With visuals only. At night. While they still have to cover the radar site. You don't get to become Sky Marshal by going on wild goose chases and ignoring your primary objective to pad your kill count.

"AWACs, I need a resupply, if you can manage." Gus flies towards it as fast as the PAK FA can manage.

"What the hell is that?!"
I change course towards AWACS, jettison my armament, and follow Gus.

The Sabre banks and heads in the same direction as the PAK FA and Razorback, towards the AWACS.

"-copy. Splitting," Jaakko reports.

The hostile flight pursues Mjolnir as they begin flying back towards the AWACS, and is in fact gaining on them ever so slightly. There is simply not enough time for everyone who needs one to be able to resupply. One person, sure. Two, you are cutting it very close, and putting the AWACS at serious risk as well. I implore you to very carefully decide your next moves, because if people get careless, things will get very ugly, very fast. Please, for the love of every god in your pantheon, consider every alternative before making a decision. If you feel lost, just ask me what's going on and I can give a breakdown of what metaphorical cards are currently on the table.

The PAK FA changes course, towards a much more juicy and valuable air base.

I pull up and break off to the right of the group.
"AWACS do we have any new contacts?"

: Yes. Five.

Gus noses up and pushes the throttle, soaring towards the clouds. He punches the side of his roosterpit. "...Orders, Sabre?"

"Mjolnir flight, we're returning to base! We got what we came here for, let's move!"

"Copy,"
Jaakko banks and adjusts his heading to along the egress route.

I punch the burners and start heading towards base, strongly doubting the stealth aspect of my aircraft will help me, considering what just happened.

Mjolnir turns to leave, but the new arrivals are not keen to let you walk away just yet.


: [This is Mjolnir? Their so-called ace squadron!? Bwahaha, look at them go! Aesthia's battle-hardened dogs of war, running scared with their tails between their legs, and we didn't even fire a shot their way! Number two, get a picture.]
: [You got it.]
: [Crew, get the forty loaded back up. Just in case these "aces" aren't as cowardly as they look.]
: [Right away, Sky Marshal sir!]

Jaakko stays high above the tree line with some altitude, and begins following the Mercanan squadron to the last radar site.

"We're going with the Mercanans! Leave the hostiles bugging out, we don't have time for them!"

Mjolnir groups up, discards their silly colors, and starts trying to catch up to the Mercanans.

Gus breaks off with a packet of flares and starts evasive maneuvers.

I slip behind Viggen 2 and start blasting it with the twin LCPs, their rapid pulsing easily audible through the frame.

You lay into the plane, setting it alight. They wake up from their pursuit-induced stupor, start trying to shake you off...

I think the rest of the squadron can begin to disengage and start moving back to base, since both of the radar sites that needed to go are gone now.
