But I hope his outfits are randomized, like sometimes he is wearing his pilot outfit, bespin outfit, dagobah clothes etc.

No, it should be based on what map he's on. BF2 did it, I don't see why this one made ten years later can't. Especially since they had that person yammer on for like ten minutes about how excited they were to be working on the game and how authentic they wanted to be. It's like someone saying "I want to make an authentic Vietnam War game" and then making the American tank an M1 Abrams, like how can you miss that detail if you care about what you're doing as much as you say you do.

I don't think it's some super terrible game-breaking flaw, but it certainly makes me skeptical about how much these people really give a stuff about what they're doing, especially since that map looked loving tiny to boot.

Faw lines up a shot on the Phantom and fires a RGM and a burst of LCP fire at the plane.

It attempts to evade the RGM, but you are able to keep it in your lock circle-

I go for Phantom-2. I fire two HSM's at him.

Until your squadmate spooks it with his heatseekers, forcing it to drop flares and suddenly break in the opposite direction, flying out of the circle.

"Holy forget! Two-for-one by shooting the ground!" I bellow.
I firewall the throttle and regain altitude.

Nothing attempts to follow you, since there's barely anything left.

I wait for the Marauder to finish its bombing run, climbing up to its altitude.

: You guys gonna just let them go? Whatever, we got 'em. Gunnery stations, fire at will!

The bomber makes an uncontested pass over the base, wiping out what buildings remain and firing on the enemy vehicles as they flee.

I double back, and I make an attempt to fire an HSM at Phantom-4, while spraying the general area Phantom-3 and Phantom-4 are in with AC5.

You receive nothing but a stern talking to from your superior.

I yank back on the stick and roll to avoid the FNG's fire. Decending upon Phantom 3, I fire.

Due to being forced to evade your subordinate's fire, you lose your targeting solution. Rather than hitting the plane dead on, you strike the tarmac in front of it. The plane runs straight into the newly formed crater at over two hundred kilometers per hour, smashing straight back down into the runway. The fourth plane attempts to avoid the wreck but ends up miscalculating and steering right into it, destroying both planes.

Faw immediately pulls up and to the right in order avoid the Phantom's cannon.
(When/if) The phantom speeds by, Faw kicks his nose straight up, slowing him down by nearly half, before hitting the turbo chargers and entering an extremely tight curve, orientating him towards the rear of the Phantom.

The Phantom flies right under you and you are now on its tail.

Bell shoots the last AA truck in the rear.

It's finished off. No more AA is present in the area.
: Looks like that's the last of the triple-A. We'll take out any structures still standing and then head for the Imperial base. There's still plenty of support vehicles down there running like roosterroaches, you guys can help yourself to those.

True enough, dozens of trucks, APCs, and utility vehicles are scattering all over the place as the Malantans attempt to evacuate the base.

The lead plane drops what must have been all its flares to avoid the incoming munitions, and it still isn't enough to stop the entire salvo. It goes back down and crashes at the end of the runway.

and a RGM and a HSM at Phantom 2.

The other plane drops a package of chaff and flares and guns straight for you, RAC blazing, seemingly fully intent on ramming you.

Your ARTEMIS system also stuffs the bed and crashes in response to the varied input, having never been designed to coordinate so many different munition types.

Tippy drops chaff and circles around. Coming in from up high she drops one of her cluster bombs over the weakened AA emplacement.

Your bomb flattens what's left of the AA group.

I dive down and start bombarding AA emplacement 3 with rockets and GAU-8 fire.

You knock out three vehicles with your barrage, but pick up a SAM as you fly away from them.

On approach to the airfield I fire a JSM at one of the AA emplacements. I prepare a gun solution on one of the phantoms.

The JSM finishes off one of the AA trucks left standing after Shortsword's barrage, and you find yourself with a gun solution on Phantom-3. It's currently running down the runway ahead of Phantom-4.

: AWACS, you see that line of military trucks to our north? They're on the highway, headed into town. What's the status on those, can our gunners take the shot?
: Affirmative, Marauder, targets are valid.
: You heard the man, fire at will!

Though you may not have seen the trucks being referred to, you definitely see the result of the fire mission. The air cruiser's barrage of howitzer fire annihilates the military convoy and brings down the overpass they were driving on.
: Nice. Probably a good thing we got them there, before they got into town.
: Meh. So what if they did? It's not our fault if the fascists drive their weapons past a kitten orphanage or some stuff.

Faw hits the turbo charger and speeds up in order to swoop down on the upward-bound Tomcat with a barrage of LCP fire.

One of your shots penetrates the canopy, leaving the plane to continue on a straight line.

I fire an HSM at Tomcat-1, while shooting at him with my AC5.

It is then killed off by Tourist.

Tippy angles down and goes immediately for AA emplacement-1 firing off an AGM, peppering the area with AC5 fire.

You knock out one of the SAM emplacements and do moderate damage to the other vehicles. In return, you are hit by laser AA and pick up a SAM of your own.

Bell goes in and shoots up the second AA team with her Avengers, dropping two guided bombs on the missile launchers before completing the run.

A SAM is fired at you as you get in close, but your LAMS knocks it out for you. Your GBUs are able to clean up after the GAU-8 barrage.

: Gunnery and bombardier stations report ready. Take us in nice and steady.

The cruiser makes an incredibly low-altitude pass over the airbase, dumping dozens of bombs and opening fire with the underside howitzers. Several large hangars and support buildings are completely wiped out. The remains of the ground-based AA emplacements light up the bottom of the cruiser, hitting it with SAMs, shells, lasers, just about anything they have.
: Sustained... eh. Minor damage. We good for another pass?
: Yeah. Hopefully next time our escort will have thinned out the AA a little more.
: Alright. I'll bring this thing around again and we'll hit them again. Maybe lay down some ordnance on those runways as well.

The Phantoms on the runway are barreling down it to take off. 1 and 2 are now airborne, the rest of them moving fast but still not off the ground yet.

I close in on T-2 and fire off more LCP with a HSM to boot

You cripple it with your LCP and finish it off with the Heatseeker.

I pop flares and try to line up a shot on Tomcat-1.

You are now chasing Tomcat-1. He attempts to shake you, but you are able to keep on his back.

Faw uses his more maneuverable plane to get a lock on the Tomcat and fire both an RGM and a HSM.

Tomcat-1 drops both flares and chaff and pulls hard on the stick to avoid the incoming munitions.

Bell fires off a seeker at the Tomcat she was going after

The damaged enemy plane is blown out of the sky.

: Nice work guys, I knew we could count on your squad. Target area is just ahead, we're descending to attack height now.

The air cruiser angles downward and drops to just above building height.
: I'm seeing lots of enemy movement down there. Looks like they're moving out some mobile Triple-A and SAMs, and they've got a few planes taxiing to the runway. Gonna need you guys to help out on that.

: [Akron this is 87, they rolled right over us! We couldn't slow them down at all!]

Note: These fighters are still on the runway and have not taken off yet.

I try to line up a burst from FREEDOM BRRRRRRT my cannons on the enemy Tomcat.

You have no luck.

Didn't have time to apply my own colours, want me to go back a pick up a junker to protect you with?

: To be quite honest, if this is all they've got I think we'd be fine without you!

I continue fire of tom-4, I check my surroundings for anyone trying to get a bearing on me.

You send the plane spinning out of control. Its comrades are busy with other things at the moment.

I maneuver and roll in behind Tomcat 4. The JSM's growl their electric growl. I fire one at him.

You finish off the stricken plane.

I try to line up a shot with the LCP on the Tomcat that evaded (gojiras) our squad's Razorback.

The enemy pilot goes evasive, dodging a good portion of the shots and abandoning its pursuit of Shortsword.

I try and get a shot at tomcat 2 with my hsm.

The missile hits its mark but the enemy plane remains airworthy. It retaliates with a burst of gunfire and pair of Heatseekers.

I pull in behind Tomcat 5 and wait a moment before firing the P3. This kid better bail out.

The crackling ball of energy enters through the rear end of the plane and blows the unfortunate plane (and its pilot) to pieces in a vibrant green explosion.

"This starfish."
I drop two packs of flares and break hard right, trying to get on to Tomcat-1's tail.

The good news is that you manage to spoof the missiles. The bad is that the Razorback handles like a brick stuffhouse, making lining up a good shot on the (relatively) nimble Tomcat a pipe dream for now. You get closer to your target, and they seem less interested in attacking your squad leader now, but you cannot maintain a lock for now.

I head after Tomcat 4 firing my LCP

You land several good hits on them.
: [Number two engine is out, I can't shake him!]

"Just the aircraft folks, same squad."

: Then why's your plane painted like a little girl's bedroom?

Though you evade the radar guided missile, Tomcat-4 merely follows up with a pair of heatseekers before breaking away to deny you easy use of your guns.

Bell dumps chaff and fires a seeker at her pursuer and dives down at the Tomcat.

Your seeker hits the target before they have a chance to react.
: [Gah! I'm hit! Someone help me!]

Tomcat-1 maneuvers to engage you, coming in from your left.

I drop countermeasures and fire an HSM at Tomcat 5.

You hit it in the bottom of its aft end as it turns to evade you.
: [stuff! stuff! Last hit just disabled my elevator and rudder!]

They manage to level out but are stuck following what's more or less a straight path.

I fire off my RGM at tomcat 6

Though they attempt to evade, you are able to keep them in your radar cone and destroy them.
: Wait, what? I thought our escort was Mjolnir. Who just wasted that guy?
: That- huh. When the hell did the Kintharians get here?

yeah why all the f-14 hate, it's still a good plane :(

Dont get me wrong I love the f-14, its probably one of my favorite planes. It's just rather dated compared to the stuff being fielded right now.

I begin to climb to get out of the radar circle.

The radar lock warning goes away, but you remain outside seeker launch range. It fires another RGM your way as it follows you.

Bell uses the turbochargers to move out of the radar cone and get some altitude.

At this distance, the interceptor is able to keep you in its sights, though it has to separate from the rest of its squadron to do so. The RGM draws nearer.

"Ugh."
I drop chaff and turn hard to get out of the radar circle.

No sooner have you trashed the first missile than a second is launched your way.

"Can't help but pity them, huh."
Faw pops chaff and opens up on a plane with a LCP.

I drop chaff and fire an HSM at Tomcat 5.

You both drop your missiles, but are still well outside weapons range. The enemy planes fire another missile at each of you.

In attempting to keep their noses pointed at your planes during the RGM barrage, the Malantan squadron has lost cohesion. They are now scattered all over the place, focusing more on you guys than where their squadmates are. In addition, they are now in range of your own missiles.

Everyone gets suited up and flies out. You meet up with the Air cruiser on the edge of Malantan Airspace.
(Tell me if I got your loadouts wrong)
