You feel the disapproving glare through the goggles and get the distinct feeling he assumes you deliberately got her drunk.
He then casts his glance over at Tippy.

We did lose a whole damn fleet of our own though. Some kind of nuclear cannon mounted on a dreadnought vaporized at least a thousand sailors. We also lost a flight of Kintharian pilots plus most of a Mercanan flight as well. Come to think of it, I haven't seen Lefty since we got back.]"

I learn of the on-base bar. It seems that the Mercanans have reneged on their no-alcohol-on-base policies.

I'm gonna just speak up on this because I know it's a stuffty retcon but:
Mercanans allowed on-base drinking at the cantina for their own people because they know how to exercise restraint. They only recently opened its doors to their Aesthian allies just to see if they can handle themselves. If a fight were to break out, they'll probably go back to not allowing anyone else in.

granted, that's still most of them, but there will be some missions that drone support will be unavailable on

After you land, you find out that intelligence theorizes that out of the 2,700 Huitzitlaotani salors killed in the engagement, about 62%, or 1,700 of them were indentured servants. You feel the sudden need to dismount from your high horse.

"Sorry to interrupt, but have we gotten any word of who we've lost today? An entire fleet was vaporized, Tom was shot down, along with most of our companion flight. Is there anybody left?"

In addition, 1,593 Kintharians are unaccounted for and about half as many Mercanans.

Tippy shouts "FIRST" and opens up on the remaining ship

Already on its last legs, the corvette is overwhelmed by the additional hundred or so holes punched into its hull.

Walt slightly frowns to himself  "They're defenseless - they could have at least saved some lives Tippy."

It's too late, the ship is already going under.

The mission is concluded, you may now return to base.

i wouldn't say this is the correct term for someone who shows mercy

Faw goes in for a strafing run on the corvette with his dual LCPs.

You get nailed once by the front-mounted AA gun before taking it out, as well as the LAMS on top of the bridge and the missile silos in back as you rake fire across its top side.

I follow Faw, firing my 20mm cannon at the corvette's bridge, breaking off at the last second so I don't hit it.

You follow up by finishing off the critically-damaged bridge. Though it's not sinking, the last enemy ship is dead in the water. Whether it's let go or finished off is up to Mjolnir to decide.

I double back and fire four more AGM's at the Cruiser.

Though the ship is already doomed, you give it one last swift kick in the butt before it's gone for good.

A survey of the area shows that every Huit vessel that stayed behind is either disabled or sinking; with the ocean stained with oil and blood and littered with debris and bodies.
: Well done, pilots. Thanks to you we've cleared a path to the Delta's front door. I hope you'll be able to fly cover for us when we start our amphibious invasion, whenever that will be.

I fire off my other two ASM at the cruiser after turning around.

One of them is shot down by the LAMS, while the other knocks out half of the ship's cannon emplacements.

Faw swoops in at the southwest side of the cruiser and fires his rocket-pod at the heavily damage side of the ship.

You blow several more considerably sized holes above the waterline.

I target the cruiser and fire four AGM's. After their release I roll and dive on it, firing cannon rounds into the missiles bays.

Three of them reach the target and strike various points on the cruiser, knocking out the bridge and the comms system. In addition, your cannon blasts a couple launch tubes into oblivion.

Roger targets the cruiser and drops his mixtape torcreep.

It strikes the same side Tippy's did, in the same area as Faw's rocket barrage. The cruiser begins listing hard to starboard, and water begins rushing into the holes punched by the rockets. The cruiser is well on its way to capsizing and can likely be ignored.

Snake-Eyes goes on a gun run against one of the corvettes and tears it to shreds with the twin GAU-8s.

I wag my wings above the vessel and speed off towards the battle.
"Chill guys. I want to kill stuff too!" I yell into the radio.
It's a loving turkey shoot. The ships below are helpless.

You're now back at the fight.

I fly back to the battle, once I get there I go after corvette-1 and launch an ASM at it.

The ASM slips through the PD fire and blows the smaller ship to pieces.

I fire off my last ASM at K-1.

It's already sinking. You just speed along the process.

I fly back to the battlefield and once in range fire off two ASMs at the cruiser.

One of the missiles is nailed by a LAMS, but the other strikes near the bridge, wiping out a cannon turret and doing some rather severe damage to the deck.

I pull in to the COMRO ship's servicing airspace.
"Focus fire on the cruiser, it's doing the most damage!" I radio.
I wait for my aircraft to be loaded with the AGM's I ordered.

You get your AGMs.

I head back to the friendly fleet.
"requesting resupply, any number of ASM up to three is good."

And you get your ASMs.

Tippy swoops in and drops a torcreep towards the cruiser from the southeast

It strikes the cruiser in the rear starboard quarter. It begins taking on water but the damage control teams are able to seal off the afflicted area before it gets too bad. Further torcreep strikes might be too much to handle.

: There's not a lot else I can do here, I'm heading back to base. Good luck.

The Mercanan missile salvo reaches the Huit fleet, doing moderate to severe damage to the corvettes and even sinking one of them. Snake-Eyes fires an ASM of his own at the cruiser, hitting it in the forward port quarter and holeing it above the waterline.
