The requisitions officer blinks, confused, before growing aware of the fact that all the sophisticated captured technology is just sitting out in the open in a random hangar instead of a secure location. They thank you for bringing this to their attention, and then begin a very angry phone call.

I pipe up from the nearby crate after painters remark "she was going on about how the engineers are unappreciative - seemed upset that its probably being shipped away to be ripped apart and she doesn't get in on the fun."
: "Ripped apart"? I'd bet it's more likely to be the opposite. The eggheads are probably going to be so concerned with not ruining an intact specimen that they won't even learn anything from it.

meanwhile bell fills out the requisitions form for the ppc and runs to the requisitions office to submit it
They grant your request, but ask how you knew there was a PPC available in the first place.

"She's a little- messed up in the head- as one would put it."
: What world do you live in where that's appropriate to say about someone?

be it from V, that weaponset still looks a lot like FTL's
really not seeing it, especially not on the visitor pistol and rifle
i've never even played ftl

also i noticed that holding down "redo" in paint.net makes some kinda neat timelapse thing

it doesn't really show all the times i totally forgeted up something and undid a whole lot at once, so but at least it looks cool to watch something turn into something else entirely

"yeah sure whatever. Stick it back in a crummy old box so people with no ambition can poke at it with a stick."
Tippy frustratingly heads to her dorm. The rest of what came in doesn't really seem to interest her.
: ...Uh. Alright then?

I open a panel on the bot's abdomen, and I locate the switch. Off it goes.
Yukamo gives Nick a hand putting the bot back in its crate.
: What's wrong with Tippy? She seemed rather excessively upset there.

I speak up:

"Nope. A marine got angry at it because he thought it was the combat version!"
: ...Right then. Well, we need to get this thing powered off and back in its case. You know where the switch is, right?

Tippy starts looking for ways to pick it up
It doesn't want to be picked up.

She grabs it by the foot and drags it a little
It kicks you in the hand.

Finally, someone notices what's going on and comes over.
: Er, what are you doing? Why is that even turned on? It's supposed to be in its crate.

She notices its current condition.
: Did... did you do that?

Yes-Man would be happy to help. Just ask him!
let's assume that's what she did when looking for help

Bell looks for any interesting plane guns
You read the labels on the boxes. A lot of them are crates of infantry weapons and equipment, but a few catch your eye. A Beam Cannon here, a few Pulse Lasers there, and even a pair of Particle Projection Cannons. Hopefully a few of these weapons will get to stick around and not be immediately shipped off to R&D.

"Hey tin-head, whats your operating system?! Or say your usual mambo-jambo."
It continues to lie on the ground, sparking and twitching. It remains silent, either because it didn't understand Tippy's excited tone or because it isn't keen on divulging Helian trade secrets. Or because it's so badly beaten up. Or even offended, you never know.

"Because it doesn't know what attacking is, silly! When you hit it, it thinks of "falling box", or "collapsing shelf". Why would they make a hauler capable of fighting? Wait, why are you breaking it, anyway? I'm not sure we can get our hands on many of these..."
: A what? A hauler? No, no, this is one of their combat bots. I saw them back in Taiton during the fighting, I saw these killing people left and right!
: This unit has logged 0 incapacitated hostiles since last boot phase.
: Nah, I think sunshine over here might be right. The fighting ones have a protective visor over their "eyes", and that antenna on the side of their head is longer. And there's another on the other side. And-

The marine throws down the wrench in frustration and storms off to vent his anger somewhere else.
: Ugh, just shut up already.

The machine remains sprawled out on the floor of the hangar as the crowd begins to disperse. It looks relatively intact, and seems to have weathered the beating much better than any human would have, but is having difficulty moving. Also, now that there isn't as much of a crowd around the pile of captured goods, you're able to inspect what sort of gear has been brought from the front lines.

"...huh. Wonder what those are."
Someone who overheard you fills you in. Apparently, all sorts of captured enemy equipment are coming in from Taiton. As you go over you see just what sort of equipment they're talking about, you notice that there appears to be a bit of a scuffle going on; An Aesthian marine (note: not Jurgen) is standing over an unarmed Helian automaton, brandishing a pipe wrench. The machine's self-preservation protocols are readily apparent as it attempts to shield its more vulnerable parts from each incoming blow, but it makes no attempts to counterattack.
: The hell kind of fightin' robot is this? It's not even tryin' to hit back!

As the pilots who just landed disembark from their planes, they notice a commotion going on near the back of the hangar. A bunch of personnel are all crowded around a bunch of crates similar to those recovered before the Huit commandos showed up.

No. You have already proven your inability to cooperate twice.
