I fire another 3 HSM's at the weak side of the AWACS.
Another two missiles are shot down but the third blows a considerable chunk off its wing, sending it spinning out of control. As it rolls over onto its back, you get a goodbye present from the cannons.

I climb to try to stay above the Huit AWACS, and when I'm in range fire off four AGMs at the now-weakened part of the air cruiser.
The first two missiles clear a path for the next two, which set off a chain reaction that blows out the engine blocks. The cruiser begins rapidly losing altitude.

"Thank you."
you are now resupplied

Bell dumps all of her rockets on the air cruiser's starboard reactor armor and hightails it back to the friendly AWACS.
Fortunately, the Battle AWACS was in no position to cover said cruiser at the time of your attack, and you are able to get in and out unscathed. The rockets don't actually manage to penetrate deep in any places, but they thoroughly soften up the armor plating.

AC5 PC port when
really though
i want to give them my money

Bell employs the magic of adding a HUD-container to the reactor armor of the transport and the cruiser.
(which is on the topside)
Armor worth shooting at is now marked.

"Guys, the AWACS is doubling back. Watch  out!" I bank right, and try to stay above and out of sight of the
AWACS. I fire four hsms at him.
A light LAMS system shoots down two of the four missiles.

I head back to the allied AWACS for resupply.
"I can fit 12 missiles on this thing, can you give me 6 HSMs and 6 AGMs?"
: Understood, stand by.
You will be resupplied next turn.

I breathe a sigh of relief.
"Hey Major, what's the weak points on these things?"
I then fire off my two AGMs at the two triangle looking thingys on top of the air cruiser, keeping as much distance as I can.
You destroy the pod launching systems, used by the cruiser to transfer troops and supplies to the ground during a combat operation. Also for getting the crew to safety if the ship is in serious danger.

Tippy decides to cautiously ignore the AWACS after the disciplined beating and returns her focus on the Carriers.
She maneuvers awkwardly under the first cruiser and attacks the gun in between the engines with an AGM
The gun blows up, not that it was seeing much use anyway.

The AWACS abandons its pursuit of Tippy and begins slowly bringing itself around for another pass.

If Sabre and Shortsword want to share some insight as to the airships' weak spots, now would be as good a time as any.

"OH forget! CAN SOMEONE DISABLE THAT loving LASER?!"
I turn and climb as fast as I can to avoid getting hit by the laser, and away from the AWACS.
The AWACS, being the lumbering behemoth it is, makes no attempt to pursue, and instead looks for another target.

Tippy swoops in on the AWACS machine guns blazin
It finds one soon enough and swiftly punishes Tippy's bravado with a laser beam to the fuselage.

I do the most badass looking bank and lock onto the AWACS. I fire four HSM, aimimg for the laser. I hope I hit it.
you still have a trip to make, ol' buddy ol' pal, maybe next turn you'll be in range

I lock and fire off an RGM towards the AWACS then head off to resupply quickly.
"I'm coming In for resupply, three AGMs two HSM - any waiting line? "
You break off, taking your radar cone with you and abandoning your RGM to lose its lock. The AWACS responds that it can resupply you, and you'll be able to be resupplied next turn.

Bell dives down again and launches a spread of rockets aimed at crippling the point-defense guns on the bottom of the cruiser, she then deploys chaff and breaks off.
You knock out one of the LAMS and damage the two guns. The guns respond by trying to shoot you down, but can't keep up. One of them even jams as a result of the damage.

"Uh- Wait- Actually, I need HSM's only."
They resupply your HSMs. By flying all the way to the AWACS though, you have quite a trip to make to get back to the battle.

"...okay. That was pointless."
I fire off an AGM at the top of the cruiser.
A shadow falls over your roosterpit, and there's a sharp crack as the AWACS' beam laser ionizes a column of air directly to your left. This is followed by another, even closer miss.
Oh and your missile does about bum diddly.

"You know what- nevermind. I need to get back to my comrades."
I bank left to get away from the AWACS, and kick it in full afterburner.
too late

I fly back to our AWACS.
"I need a refill of my missiles, but instead of HSM's, could I get some JSM's?"
are you SURE you want to do that

does the HSM lock onto the gun emplacements or any part of the cruisers or do I need AGM's for that
HSMs won't lock onto gun emplacements
JSMs would though if you want something that can shoot both air and ground

I fire a missile at the chunk of armor I hit, trying to punch a hole in it, and trying to keep a safe distance.
You punch a hole into it, and through the hole you can see the cargo deck. Good job.

I lock on to the Draken-1, and launch an HSM at him. I also start shooting my AC5 at him.
The HSM blows him apart, negating any need to use the AC5.

I go after the engines again with an AGM and more AC5 fire
The AGM punches through a spot in the armor blown open by your rockets, and sets off a bunch of secondaries that blow out all the levitation panels on that engine. The craft lurches to one side before compensating for the loss of one engine. It is also now at a low enough altitude that attacking the bottom is going to be difficult at best and dangerous at worst, and attacking the top means exposing yourself to the cruiser's underbelly guns.

Draken-4 finally crashes after having its engine knocked out. The AWACS, seeing this, begins diving towards the convoy.

I level out, decrease altitude, and go in for the last fighter.
You are now tailing Draken-1.

"Oh yeah, look out for the Huit AWACS, it has a laser that cooked the last captain and made Guerra lose his cool."
The AWACS is currently way above the battle and does not seem keen on engaging at the moment, but still, sound advice.

"Copy, thanks for the tip."
From long range, I fire off an AGM at the last self-propelled anti-aircraft gun on the air cruiser, then fire one at the damaged engine on the cargo Titan.
From long range, your AGMs are unable to obtain a lock, forcing you to get closer before firing. Your first missile finishes off the disabled SPAAG, but your second misses the engine, instead clobbering a chunk of armor that was in the way.

Bell flies in from low altitude (after the earlier dive) launches the remaining rockets in her half-empty pods at the point-defense systems on the armed transport, deploying chaff to confuse the point-defense radar and breaking off to gain altitude.
The last manned SPAAG notices you too late, and is unable to prevent the barrage of rockets from reaching their target.
