In the interest of peace and furthering trade ties Lord Veleos embarks on a journey to Romicia's capitol Tiolo. Selected from the pool of representatives, two will accompany Veleos on the journey: Alexander from Villecchia, and  Deucalion from Falerone.

A short two day boat ride across the lake brought them to the high palisades of Tiolo. They were greeted by what the locals call the "Parade of spears", Caprican and Romician banners lead the way to the great hall. There was a grand feast and then negotiations began.

Caprica wants to officially open the borders, and allow trade through them. Caprica also offers protection in times of war, but only if Romicia does the same.

In other news the road project is nearing completion. More are being planed to allow ease of acsess to Romician trade hubs.
Blacksmiths are experimenting different ways to layer armor. Not much progress has been made however.

Approvel has been given to settlers to expand east.

A unified system of currency has been devolved. Gold, copper, and silver coins are created in marblemount and distributed to the city states, guarded by the royal guard.

The guilds have all agreed to fund a road network. The benefits far outweigh the potential problems such as maintenance. The roads will be built out of discarded stone found in abundance at the many mines.
A man named Aaron Tullus has been selected to oversee the construction of these roads. A small amount of guards have been placed under his command.

The scouting party had returned and reports are that the lake to the north is much larger than first guessed, It will be a valuable resource as time goes on. There has also been reports of small tribal villages around the lake. Further scouting parties have been sent to investigate.

Made up of many city states, ruled by the most prominent guild in that area who are then ruled by the elected head. The people of Caprica are not war like, and so for that reason do not have a very large standing army. However, those who wish to serve can join the border patrol units, or the royal guardsmen who protect the many city states. Capricans focus on crafts, more than war (Though crafting beautiful armor and weapons is common), with a small portion of the guild community interested in science and math.

Royal guardsmen are wearing hardened leather, fur lines the inside to make it comfortable. Over the leather is a soft cloth tabard with the kingdoms colors, gold and blue. They wield large wooden tower shields and long spears with bronze tips, they also have a club for close quarters, and some have short bows. More like police officers, they are trained soldiers but not meant for combat. Spread throughout the kingdom to keep the peace in the many city states that make up Caprica.

The border patrol are mostly made of cavalry. They wear light leather armor, they are also issued a thick wool cloak for warmth. They wield a short bronze sword and a small leather buckler, they also have short bows. Better at scouting than actual combat, first warning for any intruders.

Can I start around here?
I'd like to have that mountain and some of that lake under my control
