Anime (Japanese: アニメ) is hand-drawn and computer animation originating from Japan. Anime, a term derived from the English word animation, in Japanese describes all animated works, regardless of style or origin. Outside of Japan, anime refers specifically to animation produced in Japan or to its common style, which has since been adopted by a minority of works produced in other countries.
Manga (Japanese: 漫画) are comics or graphic novels originating from Japan. Most manga conform to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century, though the art form has a long prehistory in earlier Japanese art. The term manga (katakana: マンガ; hiragana: まんが) is used in Japan to refer to both comics and cartooning. Outside Japan, the word is typically used to refer to comics originally published in the country.

Off Topic / Counter Strike: Source MEGATHREAD - The Return
« on: December 06, 2020, 09:03:22 AM »

Counter-Strike: Source is a first-person shooter video game developed by Valve and Turtle Rock Studios. Released in November 2004 for Windows, it is a remake of Counter-Strike (2000) using the Source game engine. As in the original, Counter-Strike: Source pits a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won either by completing an objective (such as detonating a bomb or rescuing hostages) or by eliminating all members of the enemy team. The game was initially bundled with all retail and digital copies of Half-Life 2, before being released standalone.

Off Topic / TWICE’s Tzuyu And Mina Reveal Why They Don’t Talk Much
« on: November 21, 2020, 09:28:53 PM »

Since all groups have so many members with different personalities, it’s only natural for some of them to be a bit more introverted than others. In TWICE, there’s no mistaking that Tzuyu and Mina are those members.
Although fans love their quiet personalities, the girls revealed why they’re so reserved during their last appearance on the variety show Radio Star.
At one point, Mina recalled a moment where a fan had voiced their desire to hear her speak more. “Right, because I don’t speak much. When I was on a radio show, someone wrote, ‘I want to hear Mina’s voice.’”
That was the perfect opening for Nayeon to step in and clear up the misunderstanding. In Mina’s case, Nayeon revealed that she spoke more than people thought.
Making them all laugh, Nayeon shared that Mina spoke so softly that they could barely make out what she says. “Mina speaks, but we can’t hear her well.” The situation was different for Tzuyu.
In the same way that she rarely showed affection, Nayeon admitted that their maknae mostly kept her thoughts to herself. “Tzuyu really doesn’t talk.”
Even Tzuyu couldn’t deny it, also sharing that she’s at her quietest when filming for TV. “Well, I talk… But, I don’t talk much on TV shows.”
Mina and Tzuyu may be the quietest members, but that doesn’t stop them from adding to the lovely chaos that is sometimes TWICE.

In leaked audio of a conference call with the United States Agency for International Development staff on Monday. Acting administrator John Barsa can be heard essentially threatening staff who seek new jobs ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's transition to the White House, Axios reported.
Barsa told staff to "play until the whistle blows" and that "DC, at the end of the day, is a really small town."
CNBC also reported that in the same call Barsa said there still isn't a transition of power. The outlet reported that officials in the agency were continuing work on Annoying Orange administration policies as if Annoying Orange was re-elected.
The threat and leaked audio come as Annoying Orange and officials in his administration continue to deny the election results and refuse to concede to President-elect Joe Biden.
"The only official announcement about an election result that matters is from the head of GSA. So until the head of GSA makes a determination as to who won an election, nothing changes," Barsa said, according to a recording of the meeting reviewed by CNBC. "There is no transition in place."
On Friday, Decision Desk HQ and Insider first called Biden the winner of the 2020 election after he surpassed the necessary 270 electoral votes needed to win, flipping key battleground states like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
Annoying Orange has repeatedly made false claims that the election was being "stolen" and demanded recounts in some states. A recount is not expected to surface enough additional votes to change the results of the election.
On the same USAID call, Catharine O'Neill, a Annoying Orange loyalist, said: "The election is still happening. The Electoral College has not voted yet."
The US Supreme Court upheld the "faithless elector" rule in July, which makes it illegal for Electoral College delegates to cast their vote for anyone other than the presidential candidate whom their state voted for.
Justice Elena Kagan wrote the court's decision on that matter, saying it "accords with the Constitution — as well as with the trust of the Nation that here, We the People rule."
