« on: February 04, 2018, 08:41:52 PM »

This was one of my first hats made a while back, I was originally planning on releasing this with a gamemode but I figured I'd release it now so it was more aware that it exist. Anyway, enjoy.

*Thanks to Mr.Noßody for polishing the model*.

Found it.

Space guy's mod, I was confused on how the slash commands worked and there's a GUI for it apparently, didn't know there were even events.
Where did you even get the mod from?

Suggestions & Requests / Re: BL Add On Dump Request

client mods wont jack your performance either if you're hosting from a dedi. the only mods that will mess with your server performance if you're hosting through a dedi (which you should be if you're doing a serious server and your normal bl lags while playing usually) are ones that run schedule loops, like Event_onGaze or the such, and even then its minimal impact.

the reason you shouldn't be hosting with a client (game instance, whatever) if playing bl normally lags is because when hosting, the server is directly tied into your game instance, so if your game lags, so does the server.
Point exactly, but also having a stuff ton of addons enabled can forget up your dedi.

My add-on dump works if your machine is slightly above average. On some machines it gets really choppy to host though.
I use it to host all my servers. It has just about every brick you  need, as long as its not medieval, and a modern weaponset and some custom addons I made when I got bored. It also has VCE v15 which is really hard to find.
Hosting should never be that difficult unless you got like a bunch of client addons, at least that's what I've experienced. Having a lot of addons in general usually just leads to a longer boot up for both the game and hosting a server depending on how much you enable. Having a lot of addons really shouldn't effect your performance like having a lot of client mods.

arent those the bosses from dix miggie
Not all of them, Chad Warden clearly was a reference to Dungeon Raiders yet Demoman was used previously in a Boss Fight in a previous gamemode before Dixmiggie's release. There was also a few bosses that didn't get revealed in either the video or the screenshots.

Also thank you mctwist for taking your time to help out with the FireRelayNum event to work on Bots, due to that I'm now able to add even more abilities for the bosses.
Code: (Changelog v8) [Select]
Added support for Event_onRelay

Screenshots

How the Game works

There are two teams, Players, Boss, simple enough.
However the person that's selected to be the so called "Boss", isn't exactly THE Boss.
Instead that Player is selecting one of the current 9 Bosses that are currently completed. Each boss has their own gimmick, arsenal of abilities, map, and little intro cutscene.

A BOT is basically the Boss that the Players have to fight, what the Player who is on the Boss team has to do is try to make the Players have a harder time completing their goal by assisting the Bot that the Players are fighting by using the list of Abilities that comes with that Boss!

Now the way the Players work is, there isn't classes. They appeal to others as classes but they're mostly LOADOUTS they don't have abilities just weapons.

ALL BOSSES SO FAR
  • Wario
  • Kermit The Frog
  • Chad Warden
  • Semi-Mech Riddler
  • Majora's Mask
  • Demoman
  • Badspot
  • Stomedy
  • Bowser
ALL WITH THEIR OWN MAP!

Video

NOTE: I most likely will be releasing this as a packaged Gamemode in the future once we've refurbished the game and added a bit more to the bosses themselves as well as include more bosses with the game, I'll also be releasing some sounds/music and what not here so that if you'd like to make your download a bit lighter on you when you do join when we host I definitely will. When we Host its usually on a day where not much is happening. There is no regular schedule and this CANNOT be hosted Dedicated on a daily basis, this isn't a game designed to replace the iconic original Boss Battles that has recently closed, this was just made for the purpose of entertainment whenever we have the time to host..

We do have a Discord where we will announce when the Server is online if you'd like to join.

Sugar with the golden shovel is an absolute nightmare.

I tried it with some bot events, so it should. Please tell me if it does not and give me links to those add-ons you are using.
Works perfectly, thank you for updating this.

823
I also need SetFullScale event add-on. I can't seem to find it in my list, so it's not default.

Edit: I located the issue. I'll see what I can do about it.

Edit2: I fixed it. I just need to know what events that can be used other than those listen in onRelay so I can add them as well.
I wasn't trying to use the fullscale event at all in that screenshot I showed you, that was supposed to just show you that the onRelay event I have works with bots, what I mainly wanna use this with is spawnprojectile so that the bot can have multiple attacks using projectiles but only when FireRelayNum picks which specific relay to fire.

I also need SetFullScale event add-on. I can't seem to find it in my list, so it's not default.

I hope that enables it to work

Like I said: the script is made in such a way that would you add more targets for onRelay, it would work out of the box. Try it and you'll see that it should work.

If not, then send me your add-on so I can have a look.
I've tried onRelay with FireRelayNum on bots and they don't seem to work at all, like the bot just doesn't respond to any of the relays. Here's what I'm using. http://www.mediafire.com/file/2rk5fhiu2cs58sw/Event_onRelay.zip

825
This works only with onRelay. However, I did made it in such a way that it should be possible if I called an another event for bots. If you tell me an event that should have this kind of functionality, I'll make an event that works with it like this event.

I have a modified version of onRelay so that I can use relays on bots, I can send this to you if it'll help in any way.
