Basically you wouldn't be able to join older servers, server that haven't updated to the new version would no longer appear on the server list.

As you can imagine forcing everyone to update can be a problem, so we try to pack in as many network heavy changes into one update.

Well hey, at least now we know the game's being worked on :D

I can't pick a favorite, I've had so many good times on the maps in this game. I would say Bedroom because I've spent so much time on it, but I have especially fond memories of playing on a full server on a GSF map. Can't remember which one, I think it was Paradise. I don't remember what exactly we were doing on the server, but it was fun as hell.

I have so many memories from my early days here. Thinking about them almost brings a tear to my eye, they remind me of a time when I wasn't in high school and had time and motivation to dedicate myself to Blockland :')

If Badspot decides to keep Blockland to himself, oh well, I got my $20 worth.

Why do I have to name someone to take over in order to make my opinion valid in your eyes? I don't know who should take over, I'm just saying it would be nice if someone took over.

...What? Not only are you talking about something entirely irrelevant, no idea what, but I'm not seeing a suggestion in your post at all.

The suggestion is that Badspot could try to find someone interested in taking over development in order to improve the game. Like I said, it most likely can't be done very easily and I understand that. How is it irrelevant and what is difficult to understand?

If you have an actual suggestion for someone to take over development, feel free to go for it.

I'm not in charge of the game. I'm just suggesting something that many people agree with, Badspot may think of it how he wants to. It's a suggestion. Do I have to go around asking people if they want to work on Blockland for him in order to make this valid?

Nobody's saying Kalph should do it. Kalph suggested that the game should be given to people who want to work on it "like myself", and Badspot ironically responded with "haha i'll just give the game to kalphiter" and dismissed the idea only because Kalphiter posted it.

Honestly, Badspot, why not make a "development has ceased" thread? You've said yourself that you don't want to work on the game anymore. Make it official and get it over with, you know?

Or better yet, try to pass on development to someone else like people have been suggesting. I'm not saying it can be done just like that, but if it happens, you won't have anything to do with a community that you despise and the game might be kept alive a bit longer, maybe even made popular again if whoever takes it over is eager to develop it.

An update.

The way kompressor said the terrain "complicated" Blockland's code, you'd think there'd be some new content after these complications seemingly disappeared along with the terrain. I just want to see something that proves this statement wasn't complete bullstuff.
