right now all we know is that start menu is back, windows will know what system you're on and give you said look (if keyboard + mouse is connected then desktop mode), multiple desktops, command prompt update, etc.

10 is essentially microsoft trying to make up from their big forget up with 8.

...yeah the whole gist is in the topic title.

i had a keratocystic odontogenic tumor. awhile back i posted a picture of what 1 surgeron was doing to me to shrink the tumor.

last year april i went to a doctor saying i had a cold when he noticed one of my nostrils shut. he gave me some meds and a ENT's number to call if they didn't work. the latter happened. ENT called for a CT scan and what we got was astonishing.

ENT claimed i needed an orgal surgeon and someone who was willing to take it out. my mom was freaking the stuff out so she called my dentist who gave us a contact for a surgeon and even set up the appointment and gave us a group hug :).

we met up with the surgeon and he said it's so big that removing it would require massive reconstruction of my skull so a drain was put in (if you want a picture of this hole in my face i'll post a picture again but it's very NSFW/wtf)

he was also pissed that the ENT said what he said because he was was like "then who's gonna take care of this problem then?!?"

i ended up getting a drain and a biopsy done which ended up to be that tumor i mentioned above. it technically a cyst but it has tumor-like symptoms.

after a year of taking the plug out and cleaning it frequently, i was put into the hospital for the landmark removal yesterday.

after a few hours (and some complications) i'm tumor free (hopefully.)

i know is this such a /b/logland post and all but some people actually asked me about it so i figured i'll post the update.

the next few days will be tv show watching and chilling in my room with lots of meds to take.

i'm open to questions too if you're wondering more of what i had.

Who is the Angry Video Game Nerd?

The Angry Video Game Nerd (or AVGN for short) is better known as independent film maker, James Rolfe. The series was started as a joke in 2004, only distributed on VHS tapes. His friends egged him on to make another one at the time, so he did another on VHS. Then finally in 2006, he made another, final episode for his planned trilogy of the AVGN. What he didn't know what that it took on a life of it's own on the startup at the time known as YouTube. It was so sucessful there that he decided to continue the series.

So, how the hell is he making a movie about the nerd?

The movie is actually about the most requested game he's ever got: ET on Atari. He decided to hold off on making a review because he could end up doing way more with the subject. This isn't a 2 hour game review: the movie has a narrative with the idea of other urban legends. If you want to see for yourself, check it out here!

Cool, how can I see this movie?

As I posted originally about, it's not like going to the local theater. James has to individually book each place for screening. Therefore, it's going to be hard to see this on a big screen. I, fortunately, live right next to Chicago. I gotta deal with a train ride downtown but that shouldn't be a problem. More showings are being added, so don't get too depressed yet, there's a chance still.

If you can't see it on the big screen, there will be a digital release later this year. If you want it on Bluray or DVD, wait a little bit longer since it's going to take awhile to make the actual copies on a physical form.

...yes. If you're going to the Chicago showing at 7PM you'll see me. Also, yes we can be friends for a day. I'm not going alone either, keep in mind (as in I'm bringing a friend, not a forumer). Like who the forget goes downtown themselves on a wednesday night?!?!? I know of one person so far on here actually going to the same showing with me, so if you're also going to the same showing as me please contact me and we'll all go meet up there as a group or something.

jeez i was just on radio and now this?!?!?

if some of are you aware, mack posted this thread on my birthday, and i WAS gonna bump it but i got the dreaded "Topic Too Old" message.

so like 4:00 my time (central) i'll be going out and meeting up with him since he takes off at around noon and lands here an hour or so later.

the real cool part is that i'm also staying with him at the hotel since someone got a double room cheaper, so why not?!?!

i will try to keep the thread updated as much as i can for the day.

as like of 5 minutes ago, his plane departed from midway airport. i'm gonna miss having that kid around.

UPDATE: i'm on spring break so this is gonna be consistant for the rest of the week for me so gonna stream alot this week. going to keep this thread updated instead of making a stuff ton of threads for the same thing over and over again.

i'm bored and i feel like streaming so here's my excuse to stream.

i also want to do something different with these streams since you know it gets boring after awhile: i am hosting a teamspeak that i will let anyone on as long as you actually have a microphone and stuff.
