you've already heard my congrats a million times via messenger and snap  :cookieMonster:.

plus i can't really say how much i like your music bc i've heard it a million times and saw you 4 times here in chicago, but every damn time i see you there it's always something fresh and exciting!

for the uninitiated: the last show dizzy played in chicago, they played a cover of pink floyd's "wish you were here." i legit was blown away. i have a video somewhere in my snapchat memories, maybe i'll upload it later or something.

single on icygamma dropping soon

microblock diss track

oh forget me i got so many beats maybe its time to unleash room bobcat on icy.

but yeah i was at work when this all went down. mack calls me the night before really late at night (3:45ish AM) and we were talking while he's all like, "man, you ready to watch us lose on the junos?" i was joking all like, "HELL YEAH, MAN!!!!" but deep down inside i had this feeling they'd get the breakthrough group of the year juno.

at my workplace (repair shop and gas station), all the other guys who work in the repair leave for the day at 6PM and i'm watching the stream. i literally jokingly said "dizzy" after the dude does "AND THE WINNER IS..." and i'm like, "wait WHAT THE forget. WHAT?" and start screaming running around. i think i'm close to accepting it, but when mack gets his in the mail (yes, all 4 get a juno) i think that's when i'll accept it.

can we get an ievent reference in a song? please?

LOL and some blockintosh too.

what the forget i'm still not registering this.

also here's the live performance they did:

Bernie Sanders Ralley in Chicago this March 3rd (this sunday)

...and i'm 99.9% likely to attend. damn he's already rallying.

i went to his other chicago area rally:

from my eyes: long ass lines, secret service walking around my old high school, getting searched by secret service, vampire weekend show.

i left a good half way into bernie bc i couldn't get cell service (secret service shut that stuff down) and i went with someone who had to get home before a certain time. i have nothing to do this sunday and i feel like wasting my time like i did in 2016 to see him yell about socialism.

NINJA: this was the same day as trump's infamous chicago rally that got shut down by protesters. i heard about this by word of mouth since most of all of us at the bernie rally didn't have service on their phones at all. i forgot in this video it shows that in the middle before chuy garcia speaks.

Pink Floyd - Echoes

oh man it's such a good song. i got this on vinyl from my stepdad, really damn good.

for me recently it's been The Flaming Lips - Feeling Yourself Disintegrate + Sleeping on the Roof

off of their 1999 record, "The Soft Bulletin". highly underrated stuff.

i actually live in cook county. literally 30 min away from me all of this stuff is happening. r. kelly being in county for a weekend and this crazy ass actor goes off the rails.

plus who tf would want to be outside for the polar vortex (when the two dudes apparently attacked smollette)? i went to work that day and i didn't want to be outside for more than 30 seconds at a time.

why would you buy a gay record for $20+ when you could listen to the SAME THING on utube for free????? the Jewish are at it again i see

i only italicized that because i really had a good giggle there  :cookieMonster:.

anyways, this is really my own take on the vinyl collecting. for me, i really enjoy the physical aspect of owning records. yes, you can get cds for way the forget cheaper but they're really all not the same. for me, there's a certain nostalgia to it. my parents donated some records to my collection, same with other family members. i have some criteria for what to buy, but usually it's records that have truly changed my life for the better. for instance, i have ALL of daft punk's records except the tron soundtrack and the alive records. did i really have to do that even though it's on youtube? no, but i'm such a huge daft punk nerd that i ended up buying the records.

another huge point i want to make is equipment matters. do NOT buy a crosley. their needles are made of ceramic and WILL degrade your vinyl faster. try to get a decent used turntable from the 80's or 90's. i got my technics p-mount for literally $50, but i also happened to have old equipment already. you'd have to get a phono preamp and pc speakers to do it justice but it works man.

i still use spotify in my car. i still listen to cds. vinyl is just another medium to listen to music. listening to a whole album the old school way of listening to side a, flip the disk, then listen to side b makes some albums make more sense. i prefer to listen to vinyl on days i really want to just listen to music on a rainy day or some stuff. it's all a hobby in the end of it.

i posted way earlier about getting my first car, little did i not know i didn't post a update about that car.

on the way home from work last fall, i made a right turn and my steering wheel snapped back to the center when i finished the turn. turns out my left subframe finally cracked and i had to total the car.

now i have this amazing japan technology:

i really want to turbo this thing when i pay my parents the full amount of the car.
